I went to put the tension-compression rods back in the other day and was having one hell of a time squishing the rubber enough to get the nut back on the rod. Tried using a couple of big "C" clamps, but they kept slipping off. These are the OEM RUBBER bushings. What have you guys done to get these puppies back in? TIA, Marty

Anybody know how hard it is to replace the rear seal and bearing on a T5 tranny from an 83ZXT? I was working on my car the other day, and noticed that there is a little bit of up-down play in the rear bearing... I need to replace it before I go back to FL for college. Just looking for any tips and/or things to watch out for while doing this job.

Here's a sway bar I found for sale and need to know if it will fit the REAR of my early 240Z (8/70 production date). Also if you can give an idea how much it should cost would be great.

How important is that exhaust clamp looking thing on the steering rack of my Z? I tore it off when i was refinishing the rack, thinking some half assed mechanic put it there for whatever reason but I found it mentioned in my restoration book......oops:dead:

My 1972 240Z (10/71) originally came with a 4 speed transmission. Some time later it was converted to a 5 speed. My question concerns the clutch slave cyl. Must you use a different slave cyl for the 4 speed as opposed to the five speed or will the clutch slave cyl be interchangeable between the 4 and 5 speed transmission. I need to change mine (slight leak) and don't know which clutch slave cyl to order! Thanks to all for your help....

Im tryin to decide if i really want the adjustable or non adjustable shocks. I fugure. if i get adjustables, i would have it set on comfort most of the time. and if i get ono adjustables. i wont be able to have as comfortable ride as i would with the adjustables but would save some money. So what do you guys think?

It doesn't match any of the numbers in my fairly current Nissan Motorsports cattledog. (Part Name) DIFF ASSY LSD (Part No.) 38420-RS205 Most of the LSD assy's in the book carry the 38420-RS part, but nothing matches the 205. The box says "Nismo Selective LSD". Anyone? steve77

I personnally do tend to agree with the view that this is trespassing and theft - a complete lack of respect for other people's property... but oh well it's not my place to judge him. http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=39950

Today I found myself pulling the rearend. I did things the hard way:sleepy: I needed to be able to move her so I pulled the rearend alone so the wheels could stay on. All said and done it wasnt so bad. :classic: Anyway, The rearend case has a cast number on it of 8311E4600 Dose it mean anything ? The case is steel but the rear cover is aluminum. Was the rear cover aluminum stock? Just wondering what I have here. The P.O. of this car did some parts swaping so I am unsure. 1973 240Z with build date in mid 1972.
