Hey guys, Im installing one of my rod mounts to the frame after doing a rebuild on the main tube. I have the mount all cleaned up and ready to go but im struggling to locate it perfectly and dont wanna screw er up! The other side is there for reference and I have done a rough install of the cross member and the lower arm/tension rod so I get a good idea of its location, BUT i never disassembled this car i got it in pieces. that being said, the lower arms are offset on the bushings, should the arms be mounted more towards the front of the car or the rear. like which arm is left and right, sleeve protruding forward or rear.... then I have the manual with all the measurement…

Can someone tell me where I can purchase a full set of rubber bushings for a 75 260? I have found many of the poly sets but can't seem to locate the rubber ones. Thanks. Mike,

Hello everyone, I was replacing my outer tie rods this weekend and noticed on the right side that there was some "wiggle" for the old one as I threaded it off (counting the turns, of course). I said to myself, "well, good thing I'm replacing this one as it seems a little worn!" Trouble is when I threaded the new one on, it also had the same wiggle...like the bolt for the inner tie rod wasn't quite large enough. The "wiggle" didn't change as I threaded it on (18 turns), and the locknut seems to spin and move about just fine (it didn't wiggle). When I got to the driver's side, that tie rod threaded off and on just fine, no wiggle at all. I tightened everything dow…

How does a search for "tie rod" in the suspension and steering section turn up 0 hits? The server may be having a bad day. My tie rods and other components need replacing but I can NOT back off the locking nut of the outer tie rod end on the driver side. I snapped a wrench on this thing and this after hours of soaking with liquid wrench. Is it possible that the driver side is reverse threaded? Thanks, guys.

Good morning everyone. I'm replacing my front shocks during a suspension refresh, and I noticed the previous owner filled the strut towers with oil when I took them apart. When I talked to MSA (which is where I got the new shocks), they said this was an "old school" practice to reduce noise and sticking. I'm not crazy about filling the struts with oil as it seems it could leak all over the place, including all over the brake rotors--which would be bad. So, does anyone have any advice on this practice? If the oil is meant for rust protection, I was thinking maybe I could just coat the shock body in a light oil/grease...or maybe just use anti-sieze instead. H…

Good morning everyone, I'm replacing the boots on my stock ball joints. The joint is in excellent condition, but removing it from the steering arm damaged the castle nut thread. I've gone to the local hardware store and the local parts stores, including Nissan, but they don't have a replacement. I'm sure I can find one somewhere, but I need to know what it is first. My guess is a 14m with a thread pitch of 1.25 or 1.5? Hoping someone knows...

I was wondering if anyone would be able to recommend an OEM style rubber master bushing kit for suspension on my '80ZX. I see a lot of polyurethane sets, which I'm not totally opposed to, but would rather stick with the OEM style bushings on this car. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I've seen mention in several places of a BRE anti roll bar kit for the rear of the 240Z which bolts on to the diff rather than involving drilling. Are these still available anywhere of are they a product of the past? I'm looking to upgrade both of the anti roll bars on my car and would ideally like a bolt on solution to go on my 09/70 240Z which has no mounting location on the rear. Does anyone have any suggestions other than the MSA kit? Cheers

I know, dumb question, but I don't want to break a clip or something. I messed with it for a few minutes and I am not sure how it comes off?

I purchased the MSA urethane bushings for my sway bar and end links the photo shows one side with a raised surface. Does that go away from or toward the metal caps ? Or does it matter? Thanks for the help! Phil Smith

I know its been covered but may as well document my journey. I am thinking its warped rotors, you can hear the pads rubbing at the "high" spot when up on jacks. I got the dial indicator on it to confirm. about .004-.005 (pass side was .004 driver side was .005) total run out. The plan is to pull the rotors and get them turned, there looks to be plenty of meat left on them. I suppose I could get some duralast or some other made in China (prob all from the same factory) brand of new ones, but I am suspect of quality control. Of course I could bolt them on and see if the run out is gone. I did a check of the hub the rotor bolts to (not in the video), after cleaning some…
