has anyone dealt with http://www.carsteering.com? they advertise reman'd steering racks for 215 +core. i asked who the remanufacturer was and indicated that it was done in-house.

Picked up a mint condition 240Z last year that was mostly stock. So far I've upgraded wheels, redoing the interior, and added BC Racing coilovers. I'm planning on doing further mods to suspension and replacing the brakes. I have a decent budget for both though nothing crazy since this is pretty much a weekend car and will never see anything more than occasional spirited canyon drives. My goal is to complete suspension and brakes by this summer and start on the engine (L28) sometime in the fall.

I'm wanting to sandblast and paint my steering shaft. I'd like to take the u-joint out. If I take it out I'd like to replace with a new one. I found one reference in another thread to using a Kawasaki KFX700 u joint. Has anyone used that part or another part? Thanks

I was just starting the work on the 240Z master and slave cylinders when I heard a truck pull up in the driveway. I went out to investigate and found out it was a delivery from MSA.

Well I've seached and running out of places. I have made calls here in Canada and the US for the front control arm bolts pn# 54436-E4100 and so far no luck, apparently NLA, I have tried Fastenal and Brofasco and have nothing. Any help would be great. Dan

After I posted about changing out the inner bushings for the LCAs back in September, @Captain Obviousposed the question, "Did you remember to load the suspension before tightening the bolts?" If I had of bothered the RRTFM (That's re-read...), I maybe would have remembered. I figured that I should make a video of tightening the bolts since it may help someone figure out how they can do it. (Hint: Ramps!) I finally got around to editing it enough to post. This also gives you guys something to watch between unwrapping presents and watching football (or cooking the turkey/goose/ham/etc.). Merry Christmas!

Hi guys, I was reading that the 280z's rear strut mount was higher than teh 240's and requires a spacer (this part). If I don't add this to the car, does that mean the front will sit higher than the rear or did the 280z have a rake to it when new?

I purchased the Energy Suspension bushing kit a LONG time ago. (I'm thinking it was about 8 years ago or so.) I put the car up in the air earlier this year, but I realized the scissor lift made it where the exhaust was in the way. I finally put the car up in the air with the QuickJacks. (Don't buy a lift that has a crossmember at the top.) So I was looking it over carefully since this is definitely not an area of expertise for me. I sprayed some Kroil on various bolts and nuts that will need to be turned, and I think I worked out my plan of attack. Lower the exhaust and support it out of the way. Remove the rear sway bar. Hello to all. . . Can anyone clarify the difference between the red and yellow Koni struts. The yellows seen at Motorsport claim they were specially designed for S30 but I also see the red struts at other suppliers (Z car depot). Both are adjustable but the reds are more money so I'm wondering what the qualitative difference is between the two? Are they worth the additional outlay? Anybody know? Thx.

My steering seems to wander in the center position. Where should I start looking to resolve this? I replaced the struts and springs and toed the wheels in a little but the problem persists. With the car standing still, moving the steering wheel doesn't seem to show any slack in the under-hood couplings Should I take it to a shop with an alignment rack and if so, would they even know what to set it at since it has a non-standard wheel size and lowering springs?
