Been chasing down a pretty severe front wheel wobble since I bought my 260 about a year ago Rebalanced wheels. actually the best it ever drove after this first balance Got new tires and it came back worse. couple rebalances and nothing Got new rotors and new wheel bearings did the toyota caliper upgrade at the same time New ball joints were in order. Again it got worse! everything else seems very tight, the sway bar links are new, tie rod ends look relatively new and I couldn't feel any slop in the system with the car in the air. So, on my way home today, I noticed after pulling out of wally mart (left turn) that the steering wheel was not pointed straight. That's odd,…

Hello All, I recently purchased a 77 280Z that has 245-50/16 Yokohama av es100 tires in the rear. I'm looking to lower the car a bit w/ Tokico Illumina shocks and S/T springs, and was just wondering if I'll have rubbing issues due to the width of the tires. If it will rub, what's the widest rear tires I could get as replacements? Btw, wheels are 16x7, 0 offset. Thanks

You get what you pay for. Is this true? I see arizona Z lower control arms for more money than other companies. TT, Modern M.S., etc. Is thier L.C. arms better mechanically or is it just the way there made or both. Any info would be really appreciated. Thank You, TimsZ

While removing my TC bushings. The welded metal cup that holds the front of the bushing in place came off because it was rusted out. Does anyone have a fix for this problem other than having a new cup fabricated and welded in place. I'm replacing these with the G-force ball and socket kit in the front and rubber in the back. The cup on the back side is ok. Thanks!

The tracking of my car seems to be a bit odd while under heavy acceleration or highway speeds. Hitting a bump or if the tire follows a crack in the road, it seems the front end will follow the road while the rear may wiggle a bit and then fall into place. It's like the car is flexing in the middle. I know that the bushings for the sway bars need to replaced but am unsure how big of a difference the new ones would make. Would this "wiggle" be due to potential weak frame rails? Bushings? It's hard to explain in text how it feels while driving. Car: '73 240z

I want to convert my 240 to have coil-overs but they are expensive for the custom set I can get through our shock guy. I am looking to lower the 240 slightly but retain the soft ride. I come from an off-road lifestyle so Im use to the feel of coil-overs and know how to work them the best as well as designing custom A-arms for various vehicles. I was excited to learn that the Z has IRS because it makes the build easier for me since i wont have to convert it to IRS. Further down the road i plan on adding more power to the car and will need that slightly stiffer ride but around my area there are lots of tight curves where softer would be better as well as a few places i coul…

Hey Guys, After a couple years i have finally gotten my 78 280z frame and body complete and am ready for reassembly. I needed to have both frame rails replaced and during the process the 2 mounts or should i say bushing holes in the front of the rails were destroyed. (Sorry, not great description) Anyway I noticed before the media blasting which removed the rusted part that the were spot welded. How do I replace these rings

I was in the midst of sanding down my inner outer energy suspension control arm bushing to get my spindle to fit between the bushings that energy suspension refuses to revise and in doing so I was moving my spindle towards the lip on the quarter panel and my strut mount tore some. I felt it let go and upon backing off the 3 nuts I inspected it and it tore around the 17mm strut nut, about 50% of the rubber. The rubber is in great shape and I continued on with reinstalling my spindle pin successfully. Should I stop now take it back apart and fix it? Leave it because it won't give me problems? I still had problems getting the spindle pin back in and the thought of doing…

I am looking to buy a set of powder coated front cross members and lower rear control arms. The seller claims they are from a 1971 240Z. Will these fit on a 1972 Z? Thanks for your help.
