I've looked the world over, OK I only googled for it,:classic: and I am unable to locate a new transverse link. I have de-rusted mine using the electrolytic method, and the removal of rust has revealed some small pin holes and very thin metal along the edges. Also much of the angle brace in the center has rotted away. Question is, what have you all done? I don't trust this critical suspension piece in it's condition. This is for my 74 260z. Thanks, Justin

Do the polly urethane bushings from energy suspension replace the aluminum socket and ball that were on the car originally? If not how the hell does it all go together? It seems that the polly bushings have to replace the aluminum socket and ball because i dont see how it would fit otherwise. any input is appreciated. thanks.

I am about to get my struts sectioned to install some megan coil-over conversion brackets, as well as weld in some strut tops (camber in front and static ones in the rear). I am curious if $50 a corner is a good/fair price for the removal, cut, tig weld, and install of the coil-overs.

The left front cartridge wouldn't come out of the housing, tried all the tips on past threads, then the rod pulled out of the cartridge. So drilled a hole in the bottom of the housing and punched it out. Ugly, see pics. So, should I try to save the housing or just start looking for another? The gland nut threads got messed up with removal (pic). Thought I'd try a machine shop to see if they could clean them up, maybe some JB weld in the hole in the bottom of the housing... Still haven't driven the Z yet, the "one thing leads to another" thing is getting old... gotta be patient...

My cousin has a 240z and says he can give me his Eibach springs. I have a 280z. Few questions.... - Will it even fit or seat properly? - Will it make my 280z lower than Eibach spring that were made for the 280z?

I am getting ready in a couple of weeks to do the suspension on my 77. Have the new Eibach's ready, will order the illumina struts to go with them. This week will order the ball joints, rack boots, strut boots w/bump stops from Rock Auto. I think I'm ok with the Moog K9011 ball joints (pretty well covered in a current thread). Does anyone have experience with the strut & rack boots they sell? (I'm guessing that the tokico illumina's come with no boots) The ones I'm looking at for the struts are KYB SB103 The rack boots are Raybestos 4301010 Any feedback or suggestions appreciated ....

Hey everyone, I went for a ride today in my 72 240z and after a few minutes I heard some grinding coming from the front brakes. I drive home and jack the front end up and see that my pads are toast. Anyway.. While doing this I figured I would take a look at a few other things because at highway speeds my steering wheel shakes real bad. I snugged up both of the wheel bearings a little bit and the passenger side feels nice and tight(I didn't over tighten, but there is no play on this side). I go back to the driver side and if i grab the wheel at 10-4 or even 3-9 there is play somewhere that I just can't find. I even went to the extent to tighten the ball joints a little mor…

Hi all - Got to work today on the 71. I am planning on pulling the rear end out of the car as well as a rebuild of the rear suspension and noticed several paint marks on the bolts. I was wondering if anyone knows if they are factory marks, or are they from some other odd source?

hello! being this is my first post on here i want to say ahead of time for the help from everyone! as my name shows i am a mopar or chrysler guy but i have a niche in my heart for datsuns! well i am getting a 72 240 stick for free! finaly! so i want to make it my daily but want to upgrade suspention and what not. so if u were looking to make a nice streetable, fun, fast, on rails handling car what would u do? im looking for brands of parts to go with and stuff that isnt any good! it does need a clutch so i was going to get the centerforce I kit. so for all the help i thank u ahead of time!
