Does anyone know if these struts will work with the Ebich springs that motorsport sells? My spelling stinks. I am trying to purchase a set of spring and struts so I can install them on my car during the Memorial day weekend. I am thinking that I do not want to spend the money on the Tokiko adjustable struts and spring set, but they are a set and I have read that people on these forums like the set-up. Should I bite the bullet and buy the HPK251. I know they are not the adjustable set, but they nonetheless are still a set. Anything will be better than what is currently on her.

So both my front springs have two white paint stripes and one pink stripe? Anybody know of any signifigance? They appear to have ten coils, they both have Nisan paper part tags. Though I cannot really read them where they are situated. If I get my head that far up in the wheel well to a position where I am at the angle neccesary to see the script everything gets blurry. I suspect this may also happen to other members who own 33 + year old cars. Warning ; Tommorrow is mothers Day Blox out

The flowers has ris, I wonder where all the birdies is? Speaking of springs - last year I installed a set of HP shocks that increased my HOE (height of eye (nautical thing)) about two inches. This spring I got a promotion and a couple of extra dollars, so now I want to adjust it back down to the stock height (or less) if possible. Any suggestions? - I see Motorsport advertising "Eibach"s alongside the HPs - is it safe to assume that they are a suitably coupled unit for a regular or better height. If you're in the know, please weigh in.

Got a new set of Eibach springs for my '72 Big image here --> http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/data/500/box-of-eibachs.jpg No instructions came with the springs. I assume the middle ones go in the back and the springs are oriented top/bottom correctly in the photo since the Eibach logo is right side up. Funny thing, it looks like the springs are upside down compared with Zs-ondabrain's install from a few years back. i went to replace my control arm bushings with MSA's urethane ones and i pulled out these: here you can barely see the PI imprint here's the MSA right next to it and here's the top, where you can see the offset. they have either PI or IP stamped on them and appear to be metal with small urethane bushings. are these worth keeping instead of the urethane ones? any idea why they're offset? I bought this in a garage sale way back when, Nissan stock springs part number 55020-E4102. Lots of pics in my gallary. I was talking with Carl and he thought the measurements would be of interest. I made the measurements pretty quickly. Wire diameter - between 0.451 and 0.457 inches depending on where I measure it. This is coated, so probably less than 11.5 mm underneath the coatings Spring diameter (outside edge to edge) - around 4.441 inches. Unsprung height - 14 3/4 inches. Coil count - I'd say about 10.6 coils...

Well it is starting to look like the next two weekends are the weekends to do the Diffy swap and the Spindle pin pull and redo the bushings. Those bushings are wore out, you can actually move the drivers side wheel to and fro by hand with the car on the ground. Fun. Think that is the cause of the car doing the changing direction from the rear unpon accel / decel, eh? Anyway, anyone know the part number and best place to obtain the pin bushings? Appreciate it...

OK, don't laugh please don't laugh. I have done searching and come up with a few different numbers. TORQUE VALUE CHART 7/16" dia. 50 to 60 lb-ft 12mm dia. 70 to 80 lb-ft 1/2" dia. 80 to 90 lb-ft 5/8" dia. 110 to 125 lb-ft But, i did tons of searching on google, and came up with no specs for our studs. I did come up with 12mm but it doesn't seem like 70-80 lb-ft is tight enough? Someone please help me out with this , as i haven't had the chance to purchase a haynes or chilton manual yet for her. I have them at 90 right now. Let me know if i should ease off on her.

I feel a bit silly asking this, considering how many times I've changes springs in my cars in the past 9 months, but here goes. Do the upper strut mounts (the parts with the three mounting studs, what Nissan calls "insulators") have a rubber cushion inside them? I know this is common in other cars, but never looked at mine when I've had them apart. My concern is that my red 240Z has a lot of road noise on rough road surfaces, and I'm wondering if the rubber inserts in the mounts (if any) has gotten stiff and hard over the past 35 years?
