Hi Guys, The car i bought has some custom work done on the stereo and OEM antenna. The 3 blue wires with a switch do not work. How does the antenna normally work on the 280z? I mean the switch has two positions and I would expect it is an UP/DOWN operation and the antenna can be stopped at any position (i mean half up vs full extended) can someone confirm? Currently it is connected to the stereo/radio and when i turn the unit on it just fully extends automatically. May be thats why the switch does not work.

I just installed this controller today and works great with the electric fan. I installed the sensor in the thermostat cover, I did install the controller in a weatherproof plastic box in the engine compartment. this model came with the 1/4" npt sensor and also the radiator probe sensor. I only used the 1/4" npt sensor. it will turn on at your set temp and then off 5 degrees lower.it does seem off by 6 degrees, as I have it set at 183 degrees for on and off is 178 degrees. that is comparing with a digital thermometer in the top of the radiator. it can be adjusted from 110 degrees to 230 degrees by 1 degree increments. I can see when the water pump is at full flow in the …

Hi Guys, i parked the car last night and all seemed to be fine. Today when i tried starting the car the starter did not engage. Mine is 77 Auto and seat belt is engaged and i also have a new ignition mod and like i said it worked last night no issues. I noticed when i took the key out, the rear red lights kept ON. Played with the brake pedal a bit but no effect. I had to disconnect the battery for now. Where should i start? somebody seen this before?

HI guys '72 240Z Just added a tail light relay kit to my car and while I had things apart I cleaned up the turn signal switch. The headlight switch looked brand new and worked well before installing the kit so I left it alone. I reassembled everything and now when my headlight switch is off my parking lights stay on. Position 1 is as it should be, parking lights on. Position 2 powers up the headlights. I have hi and low beams, the turn signals work as they should. Looked at a lot of wiring diagrams but can't figure out what I did wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks,

does anybody know where to pick up a rocker switch for the console? I am looking to install the fog lights and would like to install the rocker switch in the spare location next to the hazard switch to control the fog lights. I am not sure if a regular rocker switch will fit?thanks

Well, I finally have the car running but now it appears I have an electrical issue. When the battery has a full charge the car starts just fine but the alternator gauge has a slight negative reading. After running for a bit and shutting it off, the car tries to start but since it has been running on the battery there's not enough spark. I have a brand new alternator that clearly isn't charging the battery when the car is running. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Bit of a wiring rookie here. I found a Harada semi-automatic antenna on EBay as a replacement for my current antenna (broken mast) and have a question about the switch wiring. My current antenna has a 3 pin connector to the switch wire with Blue/Red, Blue/White and Black wires. The new antenna has a different type of connector and just two wires, Blue/Red and Blue/White. My plan was to connect the two switch wires for the new antenna to a 3 pin connector that I purchased so I can use the original wiring that runs to the switch. Am I right in thinking that the Blue/Red and Blue/White wires on both antennas would serve the same purpose? Also, I'm not sure what to do a…

My ignition switch will only go in the on and start position. Of course this led to a new dead battery. I was wondering which fuse box circuits should see power ONLY when they key is in the on position?
