I am looking to replace my injector wires as mine are cracked where they meet the injectors. I got on Ebay and did a search and found a link to several different wires, the first link belongong to MSA and then a couple more that look the same but for ALOT less money. Anyone used these? Are they junk? Any suggestions on replacing mine other than these? I am installing the 280zx dizzy and e12-80 module in my son's car. I don;t know if I have something way off or what but I am getting no spark at all. Just a couple questions......Maybe I did something wrong. The 280zx dizzy is mounted 180 degrees off of what the 72 240z dizzy was....Is that correct? The B goes to the + ignition source and the C goes to the - on the coil. Is there any way to bench test the e12-80 module? Any help would be great! Thanks, Mike guzinski@comcast.net

I have a 1975 280z and I want to test the pump on the windshield washer bottle. Is there a way to connect it directly to the battery to get power to it? There are only two wires coming from the pump, one that is Black with a yellow stripe and another that is Blue with a red stripe. Any help would be great on the matter. Also, what voltage does the pump work at? I assume 12volt, but some things work on other voltages. Ciao,

Someone replaced the ingition switch in my 71 with a junkyard take off from some other car. It fit, but was upside down. Well it locked up on me while the car was running so I had to kill the car then disconnect the batt. Lucky for me the Dealer was able to order a brand new factory switch for $129. I bypassed the swith intill my new one came in. About a 10 min install. If you need a replacement switch for a restoration job the dealer still has them but are getting harder to find.

'70 Z. My tach is seating at 200-300 reading when the engine is turned off. It gradually seats to zero after about 30 seconds and/or when I tap the dash. Is this a matter of a failing tach or is there dirt in the way somewhere? Coil connection is tight. Would you assume or speculate that I should use the added 200 - 300 rpm reading when determining actual red-line? Thanks for your help! Regards,

I finally got my car back from the body shop after19 months...I have some electrical issues which I cannot figure out. After extensive use of the search option, I am stumped. Can someone let me know what the metal relays/flashers? are on the drivers side kick panel? One makes a crackling sound when I connect the positive battery cable (its not connected because there is a power drain). I greatly appreciate any help. Bill

Under the right side of the console is a white/red wire with a fuse and had "masking tape" on it. It was old and falling off so I took it off to find it had been nicked and nearly cut in half. This has been this way since the PO. We tested it and it is "hot" all the time, key on "lock" to key at "on". I do beleive it is for the ignition switch and the ACC switch with a 20 amp fuse, correct me if I'm wrong. My question is can this be soldered back together and taped or should I add a splice to have more wire contact? And should this be "hot" all the time? Bonzi Lon

I have a 1972 240z with a L28 engine swap. When it was done the shop left some of the 240 parts on the 280 engine, distributor, dual stand-up carbs and the coil. I have a spare 280 that I am trying to swap some parts off of, here is my question. The ballast resistor that is necessary for the coil to work properly is wired up differently from 72 to 77. If I take the coil from the 280 to try and match up with my 240, how exactly do I wire in the resistor. Stock 240 resistor only has one wire coming out, stock 280 resistor has two wires and is wired in differently. Can you tell me how to properly wire in the resistor.

Hi, I have a 240z 1972, I am building a new harness because the car i bought is missing all the electrical stuff, I just got the pretronix with a 1.5 ohms coil, If everything goes well i will be testing the new wires this weekend, so far i have the cables that go from the coil, alternator, starter, voltaje regulator, Amp meter, tachometer and the ignition switch, but i was wondering if i use the pertronix with the 1.5 coil do I still need the resistor? :surprised _____________________ 1972 240z stock Mexico City
