I parked my 1976 180z in my garage and could not start it back up? I found that I lost one wire going to my air flow meter(#6). My question, Should I replace the wire or the entire wire harness? I also need to know were to buy one? ( Harness that is ) if that is what I should do? The car has many electrical weakness's and I feel that I should do the harness but I never looked at buying one? I looked on Ebay and searched but did not find any real wire harness's, Only wires and Volvo harness's. Let me know what you think and any info that can help. Thanks

Hi, It looks like a very important relay, 25230-E4100, is discontinued and no longer available. I have a 71 Z. This relay is attached via machine screws through the passenger side kick panel and is just next to the flasher relay. Anybody got an extra one? Mine is sticking and when I turn the ignition key from the accessory position to two positions to the left, it is energizing the starter circuit. I took the cover off the relay and when I turn the key back one position (to off) and then physically separate the contacts in the relay, then click back to the first position (now you can pull the key out) then the starter circuit is no longer energized. Nissan descript…

Wacky Tach 1 2 3

A little background on the car. This is my early '71. It has a stock coil and a Pertronix ignitor, in a stock distributor. The tach will climb as normal till about 5500 to 5800, then it falls to practically zero. When you shift it climbs again as normal. All the connections are good. I have checked the grounds. I can't find anything that appears to be wrong. Has anybody out there had this problem? Any ideas on how to fix this, or is the tach gone bad? TIA, Marty

(just realized I put it in the wrong forum the first time) I've searched every link to "clock" that I can find on the site. Does anyone know the proper hookup to bench test a 280zx digital clock? Bought one that the previous owner swore worked, can't make it myself so I'm looking for the pin hookup to bench test it. I don't want to pull out the old one unless I know the replacement works! Anyone have a clue? Thanks

Hoping someone could help. I replaced the alternator, voltage regulator, and fuses. The charging system is working and charging the battery, however the output of the alternator is peaking at 16 volts and overcharging the battery. When I remove the negative terminal and and take a voltage reading the output of the alternator now reads 24 volts. I'm confused. Is there another regulator I'm un aware of? Help would be appreciated! Thanks

i have a '72 240z. this is my first restoration project ever, so i am teaching myself how to do nearly everything. but i have this one wire that comes up out of the bundle of wires on the right side of the car and it just ends..it doesn't connect to anything. i have a picture of an engine bay with that wire and it is attacked to something that looks like maybe an engine compartment light..? im not sure.. in the picture, the.."thing".. that i am confused with is just to the left of the suspension in the engine bay. the link: http://www.angelfire.com/sk3/jjgajewski/bzngnl.jpg

Hi all, Long time no talk... Hope everyone (and their Zs) are doing well. So let me preface the following by saying that even back in engineering school I already had a certain aversion to circuits and wiring. Things haven't improved since... :stupid: So I need a hand, please. I am looking for a good switched to power source to run a couple accessories. I'm guessing that where I had them before wasn't the best place as I had some recent electrical problems, which made me miss JCCS07 unfortunately. I want to do it right this time. 1 CSR water pump draws 5.8amps and is fused with a 15A fuse 1 PermaCool 14" fan draws 9.5amps and is fused with a 30A fuse I'm thinking about wi…
