I took apart my middle console again to see if I could get the hazards to work but no luck. I did however find about 4 wires there, 3 under the steering column, and about 6 around the fuse box that are all disconnected or clipped with nothing that it seems they connect to. Anyone with a 280 can you take pics of those areas and send them to me so I might be able to see if I'm missing any plugs or anything? I've looked at the wiring diagrams and they don't tell me anything that I don't already know and I don't want to have to rip the harness out. But if I do does anyone have any Idea where I could get a new one?

Hi guys, Driving home last night ('72 240z), the right turn signal light became stuck on. When the turn signal switch was returned to the center position, the right indicator in the instrument panel stayed on (without ticking on and off). I tried signaling left and right, flipping the hazards on and off, and it stayed on. After a minute or so it went back off, but did the same thing again the next time I went to signal a right-hand turn. My switch was rebuilt my Dave last year (and I installed both of his relay kits), but I have a feeling the problem is not in the switch itself... Has anyone had this problem before? I am looking for some info before I start poking around,…

Thanks to someone that posted this the day after I first signed up, I got my dome light operating normally. I could turn it on manually by pushing but it wouldnt come on when either door opened. Someone told me to twist them a little and I got the light to flash. I sprayed some electrical contact cleaner on the plungers and worked them around a little and the light now works like new! Both doors now work the light independently. I was so pleased, last week when I made up an order from MSA for a few items, I included the LED dome light upgrade for $19.99. I put it in just a little while ago and WOW...total difference. The entire interior is now bathed in a slightly …

I found this in the back of a '72 at a Pick'n'Pull. It has the long pig tail so I'm thinking it is 25410-E4600 Assy Fuse Block "Up-To" 12/70 but I can't find any numbers on the assembly. I pulled the fuse block from the '72 and it fit perfectly in mine. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I have done alot of searching and could use some help on my car. I cannot get the blower to come on. I've read alot of post about 240's but cant find anything on later models. I pulled off the access panel in the passenger footwell to expose the blower motor and removed the center console as well because I am replacing the stereo. I see a white and blue connector going to the motor of the blower. I was thinking a good place to start is to hook some current up to it and see if I can get it to spin. I have a 12v converter I bought over the weekend to test the clock and it is a 500mA, dont know if thats enough to do anything. WHen I connect it, the motor hums but doesnt spin…

Just wondering any thoughts at all... I will need to get some new spark plug wires soon, and was wondering thoughts on which size I should get--I'm looking at about $15 difference between all 3 sizes of wires from where I'm looking, so price doesn't matter. I have a 72 240, original motor...in the spring I'm going with a 81 ZX Dist and a good output coil, so I have a real good spark--this is a weak area on my motor--as I foul my spark plugs due to weak rings. Trying to squeeze a little more time out of her. Anyways, my car is nothing special on performance...my only hop-up part is a stock replacement K+N air filter. No header or cam...when I rebuild probably get that s…

I have a '71... Most of the lights, horn and flashers seem to work now.. My Question is exactly which lights are to come on with the running lights on? which lights are supposed to come on with the hazard switch on? which lights are supposed to come on with the turn signal? It seems that only my turn signal lights do not work...and yes I replaced the relay. Help! John in Jersey

I noticed when I bought my '73Z that there were two wires not connected to anything in the small branch harness that hooks to the distributor. The black one that attaches to the side of the distributor and the coil is hooked up of course. My question is. What is the black/yellow, and the green one supposed to be doing? I've looked at the schematic. I see nothing that has both wires. I can only assume that one wire hooked to something, and the other was for something different. Any thoughts on this?

I have a '76 280Z that was running, but was left to sit for about a year. Now it seems to have a short somewhere, but I am at loss as to where to start looking. When I turn the key to ACC, things kinda seem to work. It will flip back and forth from accessories getting power to them going off half the time. However, honking the horn makes the tachometer go crazy (note that the car is NOT running at this point). Turning the key to ON and everything goes dead. All gauges go off, and I can't hear the fuel pump. Trying to actally start the car does absolutely nothing. Any ideas on this one?

I have a '76 with a Holley and an MSD 6al, no transistor ignition unit. The distributor I have is the Federal model with 2 pickups, each with a signal wire, 1 red, one brown, and then both sharing a common green wire. I can't get a conclusive answer about how to hook this up to the MSD, so I'm wondering, is there any reason I couldn't take the extra pickup out of the dizzy? Then the directions for hook-up are clear. Is there a different advance, curve, or any other difference? Since the California model only had one pickup, I was just wondering....... thanks
