NO Voltage

What is the proper procedure for checking the voltage where the harness plugs into the air regulator? I turned the key on hooked up the ecu , set the voltmeter to 20v dc and I get no voltage reading but I do have continuity in the circuit. Should the car be running for voltage check? The air regulator gives 60ohms but no continuity and flunks pin test so need a new one of those. Any ideas would help before I pull out the fuel pump relay. Thanks

So I was thinking today about what to do about my semi-working stock antenna and got to thinking I would really like to have a hidden or windshield antenna added to my Z. I have a rust problem from the old one leakin and would like to keep the lines on my Z clean by eleminating the antenna all together. There doesn't seem to be a lot of antennas out there, but one I did find was this one on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TT1E-TUNE-TRAPPER-HIDDEN-AM-FM-ANTENNA_W0QQitemZ8032351006QQcategoryZ38655QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I also found a boat one that uses clear tape, but costs just a little more: http://www.shakespeare-marine.com/antennas/specs/4353ant.ht…

What are best steps to take to determine why none of my side marker lights work when headlights or turn signals are on. Any ideas? Thanks!

I've got a problem with my 81zx 275K miles with hopping timing. What happens is that everything runs fine but when I am about 2K rpm the tach shows a sudden jump to like 5K rpm and then jumps back and forth. Sometimes it will even stall. While this is happening I hear some pinging so I would assume that the ignition is doing a sudden advance. I've traded out the ignition module (I"ve got several) to no avail. When I look iniside the distributor and check for slop everything looks fine. I had an aha moment a while ago when I discovered that the magnet ring had broken into several pieces. I ordered a new one and I thought that fixed it but now its doing it again. I…

So I know a pretty good amount about this sort of stuff. But has anyone replaced the 7" headlight with a built in projector. Kind of like this: I am concerned with the space behind the headlamp needed for the bixenon motor.

I'm getting to the point of cleaning up the harness and having striped a ZX have an abundance of nice relay setups. Needless to say the headlights are getting the fix to help save the 30 year old switch the beating of high current, but what other circuts could benifit?? Turn signals, wiper motor, parking lights?? What have you done, or thought about doing??? Mine is going to be a (well done) hack and install as the car is, and has been, so far from stock for so long that it will never return to that state, yes it is my fault but it started 25 years ago..... Any ideas on improvements or upgrades to the electrical are welcome...

Hi guys, I am looking to compile some images of the correct Z wiring fitment. A lot of cars I have seen have had previous owners merely stuff the wiring back under the carpet and forget about it. If anyone has taken photos of the harness fitted correctly to their car which they are willing to share, it would be great. Thanks
