I've installed all a/c parts from a 260 2+2 to a 2 seater some time ago and just left it unconnected till now, (summer). This included condensor, pump, compressor all piping and the part that sits in the dash, (that is like a small radiator). I thought I could just gas it up and connect power to it but have since found out I also need some other circirtry under the dash??? Any advice or pix would be appreciated.

Has anyone taken a basically stock 240z and rewired it to use modern relay technology? Ie: Bringing the high amperage wiring outside the cockpit? (thanks to MikeW for helping me use the proper terminology)

I have some electrical trouble shooting to do. The previous owner said that when the lights are on and the break is applied a fuse blows (I don't know which fuse yet). What does a good, basic electrical trouble shooting tool kit consist of? Any good sources you know of? I don't know what the heck I'm doing but am ready to give it a try. Thanks

Does anyone use/or have you found, but not used, any halogen or xenon or otherwise high output, near stock wattage replacement bulbs for the tail lights, reverse lights, and marker lights for the Z? My manual lists the stock wattage at 7W/23W for the tail lights, the side markers are 7.5W. Would like something brighter, without going to a high output LED, for two reasons: don't want to overload the system with high wattage bulbs, and don't want the directional of the LED. Thanks, Chris

Pretty popular with the ricers. I don't really know how old of theory this is...perhaps it has been around for ages. This 'multi-ground' thingy--where a half-dozen or more fat ground wires run from the battery off to all over the engine. They bolt to just about anything that doesn't move. Is there any merit in this? steve77

I am curious if anyone would be able to tell me if there is a source for obtaining Koito headlights. I have not had much luck in searching the web and scouring auto parts suppliers for the Koito headlights. In my fleet of Z cars I have some that still have the Koito headlights installed and they still work! My 1982 S130 has both Koito headlights which are fully operational. In case anyone is wondering my 350Z is equipped with Koito headlights so at least "le cost killer" has not gotten rid of that O.E. supplier to Nissan. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Kats...Alan T...

I recently saw a thread about spraying plastic kote spray or coating on a fuse box before installing to keep it from corroding , I am replacing my swiss cheese fuse box < accurate description due to the many fuse holes > with a very clean one from ebay , the short tail style , was hoping if someone knew the exact name and how much to spray on it , I am hoping to avoid redoing this job again, also any suggestions in area of contact cleaner , i have to clean all my contact I am sure I don't want a repeat with this box, thanks

Carl, Wonderful article on the Ignitor. After seeing the photos, one cannot make the assumption that the Pertronix is mearly a reed switch activated by a magnet. Am I correct on this? Are there any Aussie Guys using this system? Keep those fingers hitting the keyboard and look forward to more in depth how to's!

on my 74 260z i got for free the owner before last adapted what looks like a gm coil to use on the z, it looks as tho he just wrapped some wires about the orignal eyelet connectors and put tape over it, could this cause, resistance? thus reducing spark? the plugs have been black and it smells of gas when i have the choke on, but according to what ive read and been told my carbs have been adjusted properly (stumbles but keeps running) im going to look under the tape tommrow and see whats up but could that be a problem?
