Has anyone found a spot to stick the breather pipe from the rocker cover instead of having it go into the air cleaner. Have changed over my air cleaner to sports filters and now am trying to work out where I can shove a tank and the pipe. Also, are there any ideas on where the carby breathers on the round tops which also go to the air cleaner can go?

I'm in need of a little help. The headlights on my 76 are not coming on. The parking lights and all other lights are working fine. The headlights worked about 2 weeks ago (one really dimmer than the other, but that's another problem). Any suggestions? Thanks!

I need to replace my alternator. I have a 1972 240z built 6/72. According to my ZCD, the correct part number should be 23100-P0102(R - all now are rebuilt), which indicates a 12V-50A Hitachi LT150-05B. However, Courtesy Nissan shipped me a P0103R (Hitachi LT150-10R). To further confuse things, I am told the part number I should look for is 23100-U5800R or -H6206R. Exactly which is correct??!

Would like to know if one can buy all the wiring harnesses for the 280Z? I'm not sure if I have a need for any particular one, but I thought it would be nice to replace the one for the section I might have apart- engine, dash, interior, rear.

How to prepare your car for the "Dark Season" According to regular servicing data for 2001, around 36 percent of the vehicles inspected had defective lamps. In the dark months of fall and winter in particular, fully functioning lights are the most important guarantee of road safety. Defects such as faulty brake lights or indicators usually go unnoticed by the driver inside the car. Moreover, faulty headlamp settings cannot be detected with the naked eye. So please - check your vehicle’s entire lighting system, from the headlamps to the reversing lights - make sure you can see and be seen better in the fall and winter months and reach your destination safely. My lasy guess is the switch, anyone have one for sale? thanks, Doug :dead:

Hi all- Just looking for opinions/experiences with the various aftermarket electronic ignitions available.. Crane, MSD- Anyone have an opinion as to which version/model is preferable for a stock 240/260? I have a late 260 with the stock electronic ignition, as well as a 73 auto that has a dual point distributor (which i understand complicates the matter) Howsabout keeping the tach functional? I assume i would opt for the $109 unit from Motorsport, but would appreciate any advise- Thanks!! Jeremiah

When I engage my turn signal it takes about 1-2 seconds before the lights actually come on and the relay starts to click. With my other car (Chevy) when I hit the turn signal it turns on immediately. Is this normal for the Zed or is my relay bad?

The 73 and 75 year model wiper motors have different wire color codes. The 73 has blue, bluewhite, blueyellow, bluered, yellow, black. The 75 is black, black, skinnier black, bluered, bluewhite, yellow. The first two black wires in the 75 are thicker than the rest of the wires. Some of the color codes are the same but does that mean they are a match? Do any of you gentelmen know how I could possibly wire these two together with out letting the smoke out of the wiper motor? Any help would be greatly apreciated.

i put the key in turn it, i hear a click when i turn the key to "Start" but there is no cranking from the starter. then i have to pull the key out and keep trying to start it, and eventually the starter will work. its weird... i hear the little solenoid near the passenger side make a clicking noise.. so i know the wiring from the key lock to the solenoid is good.. but from there to the starter, i can get the engine to start maybe once out of every 20 or 30 tries. i know the battery is fine and all that, i dont know if its a loose wire or not. ive even tried holding the key at the start position for like a minute.. and it just keeps the solenoid open but nothing happen…

I am in the last stages of restoration on 1970 240z. Need to get a new electric antenna. For the time being will use original AM radio. Any suggestions on which model or make to use? Anyone had any experience with the unit sold by Motorsport Auto?
