I bought a set of the Euro taillights to go in my US spec 1971 240Z. The harness plugs are not the same. The US harness has a 4-wire plug and the Euro light has a 6-wire plug. Any one know of a diagram that would show a reversible harness I could make to bridge the two? Or is somebody selling a plug-and-play adapter?

Hi everyone , I am a new member here. Just purchased a 1974 260 that's spent 20+ years in the Texas hill country out in a field. Rats chewed through many of the harness, but I have been able to in most part patch it together, however I've run into a snag with whatever this mystery relay is over on the driver's side by the radiator. The plug on the relay side has a yellow, blue/red ,black/yellow, yellow/black,solid black, and light green/black colored wires. On the harness side of the plug most of the wires make sense , apart from 3 wires that are black/ white of the same gauge . It's really a guessing game to where these wires go without knowing what this rel…

More specifically, for the 1977 model. I know of a few differences between the 75-76 models and also the '78 model. Take a look in the download section... The 'blurry' print is just a product of AutoCad printing to Adobe. When printed on paper, the true font and line weight come out as intended. To print, use the 'print current view' option in adobe and 'pan' across until you print the whole thing. I wouldn't suggest trying to scale down too much, but will tell you it looks beautiful hanging on my garage wall. Special thanks goes out to Mike for hosting this for me! Can anyone tell me where the relay/fuse for the power windows is located in the car. My book doesn't have the proper location. Apparently there were some design changes between the 82 and 83. Both windows will not operate. No electrical to them at all. Thanks. Tim.

Decided to get my horn to work. I have a set of new Hella horns and have found the three green wires. Can someone verify this is the correct relay? Which wires go to which terminals? Green Green/red Green/ bulk

Decided to replace the old worn out distributor on my 77 280z. Received the replacement and decided to check the air gap and its greater (about twice) than what the FSM recommends. So I thought maybe I should check the original dizzy and it to was well over max recommended setting. My question is should I go ahead and set the new distributor to the factory setting. Thanks PS Forgot to mention that the car did run before I pulled the distributor, but it was running rich.

Has anyone tried this on their Z yet? My MSD box crapped out on me 2 years ago, and I went without it last year. Luckily mine failed between parking my car in my garage and trying to start it the next day. I just don't think I trust it enough to justify paying for it to be repaired. These Pertronix boxes look to be very new, and I can't find much info on real world installs. Based on my positive experience with their Ignitor II, I trust them more than MSD...

The other day while changing the negative battery cable i accidentally bridge the positive and negative cable ends with the socket and burned the shrink tubing insulator of the fusible link. I tried to remove the plastic cover of the fusible link to insert a new shrink tube but it seems impossible. Should i buy one new or should i just wrap some 3m electrical tape where the shrink tube was? What if i leave that o ring connector naked?

Is this negative pole grounded correctly to chassis? As you can see there is an additional ground cable fastened to the chassis. Should i use another gauge for this?

Got a fix-it ticket for the right side brake light not working. I mentioned this in another forum post that was mostly about the exhaust (one of the other items on the fix-it ticket. No front license plate was the 3rd and final issue) Trying to figure out why the right side brake lights don't work and I don't know anything about electrical systems. Here is what I know: 1) They worked until recently. 2) The right side turn signal works (which tells me the bulbs are not the problem - the same bulbs are used) 3) The hazard lights work (same two bulbs on the right side as the turn signals and the brakes. 4) I replaced the bulbs with new ones, anyway. No change…

I was checkin out the MSA website (Z Car Parts.com -- Motorsport Auto -- Home) for fire extinguisher stuff, and I saw a mention of something called a "Battery Frame Insulator." It's supposed to go between the frame and the firewall, where the frame bolts to the firewall. Apparently, its job is to eliminate the frame from rubbing or scratching the firewall. Would this be a useful part? Would you pay $20 for a rubber spacer? It's just a chunk pf rubber with a slit for the battery frame handle and a slot for the bolt, you'd also need a longer bolt. Couldn't you just substitute a rubber spacer you make yourself? Motorsport! Battery Frame Insulator, 70-78 240Z-260Z-280Z…
