Hello, I need to some help understanding/locating where these two backup light wires go. They are #39 & 40 on the diagram below. The description on the diagram states they are backup light wires but I don't see where they would be plugged into. #39 - Backup Lights (RB) #40 - Backup Lights (LR) Thanks, Dan

Hey guys, I'm brand new on here. I have a 75 280, and I'm having some issues. As most know, datsun is really weird about switching up their transistor ign modules throughout the years. Mine came with the E12-06, but I had a buddy who had a E12-27 that he'd sell me for cheap, so I grabbed it. However I've run into an issue. The 06 is a 7 pin (non cali), and the 27 is 5 pin, missing a brown and white wire. From what I've seen, the brown is a ground of sorts, but the white goes through the water temp relay to the water temp sensor (I'm assuming to advance/ retard turning when cold or at O.T.) My question is what should I do with the white wire? I may have to manually f…

My wipers only function in fast and slow speeds. They will not "delay" or park properly in the off position. 1) Are these problems related? 2) Is there a "delay" module located on the motor or somewhere else? 3) Is this situation repairable or will a new motor (or module) be required? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Anyone have some success stories for speaker sizes that fit well in the stock holes in a 77? Looks like there might be depth limitations . I also imagine no speaker lines up as far as bolt pattern , but maybe get lucky. This Reno car I’m doing has a vintage Sansui stereo that I’m going to try and utilize , but the speakers are shot. Don’t even need anything great , just something that fits.

Hi, I'm currently looking for a 240z with working A/C. My understanding is that A/C was a dealer installed option. My question is: Is it better to wait out for a 240z with working A/C, or find a clean Z and install an A/C? Also, if if I find a clean Z without A/C, where can I locate an A/C kit, and how much would the installation cost? Thanks, Jacob

Just when I thought I was in the finish straight on my '71 240, another puzzlement pops up. Before installing the windshield wiper motor, I did a bench test. Works OK. Installed the motor, and drive assembly, then turned on the wiper switch, and everything seems OK, with the splined drive stubs rotating just fine at both speeds. Install the wiper arms and blades, and they twitch perhaps a quarter inch, then stall. Turn off and on, and absolutely nothing. Take off the arms and the cowl; everything looks OK. Put the cowl back on and the drive stubs again rotate on command, but put the wiper arms and blades back on, and same thing - a quarter-inch twitch, then nothing.…

so I got my turn signals to work, I was wondering if it's lighting up correctly. I thought only the bottom section(next to the reverse light) would flash not the upper and lower part. Also it looks like I have a ground issue when my headlights and hazards are on? If so where is the ground? Thanks! right turn signal headlights off.mov Hazards headlights on.mov

I have a 73 240z and the ignition switch is toast. Can pull the key in any position and it gets stuck in the on position nearly every time. Anyway, I ordered a replacement but my with has 2 wires, red/blue stripe that attach to a small switch located in the main switch. I did a search and it seems these go to the "key in buzzer"? I want to confirm this and get input on if I should remove it from the old and try to install it in the new switch or is there alternate wiring suggested.

Hey Folks, I have read extensively about putting a 280zx distributor into 240z and that seems like a great upgrade. However, 260z and 280z both had electronic ignition distributors and I was wondering why people don't swap those into the 240z instead/also. The reason I am asking is because I can easily get rebuilt 260z and 280z distributors and they bolt right in with no differences to the dizzy mount as far as I can tell. However the 280zx distributor has a different mounting block and I can't seem to find any of those to purchase, I don't think they are included in the rebuilt Cardone distributors. I feel like this answer should be out there, but I have bee…

Last saturday i decided to install a pertronix ignitor 1761 module with 1.5 coil asides from replacing the 4 year old battery with a 12 volt 600 amp brand new battery. Even though i have cleaned and tightened all the female and male connectors at the coil, i am still experiencing some needle fluttering when the car is at idle. Is this normal or could it be fixed? Do i need to widen the gap between the ignitor sensor and the magnet Installed in the distributor? 20180729_144008.mp4
