Working on Power Antenna modernization. Watch Youtube video how 3rd party power antenna works. Since my power Antenna did not comes with any instruction(maybe I lost?) Original power antenna is controlled up/down switch. I want to control power antenna via modern car stereo with just one wire using existing cable. Here is my schematic. While Green wire connect to red with 12V, power antenna is extended. Once green cable is disconnected with red with 12V, the power antenna is go back to housing. Power Antenna is installed. Test with battery. Works! Need to connect Blue/Red to 12V constant.

Hi, I try to replace the illumination light bulb to LED while I finished dash repair. I checked with individual gauge, it works fine. When I mount dash, the illumination does not turn on. So, I removed dash and connect wiring to start trouble shooting. I unplugged headlight, all the gauges except clock and speed meter. Fused is checked. Shunt fuse is checked. Bypass register near the speed meter gauge. Brake light, high beam can turn on. Heater, wiper is working. what else should I do? Thanks, tamo3

I am going to rewire all the electrical connections from my ignition, resistor, coil, etc. I can go to Pepboys, Oriely's etc and get some wire, but I was wondering if anybody has a good source of bulk high quality wiring, with good insulation. Zs-ondabrain, I am looking at you.. haha;)

I have 2 problems to solve. I need a rear defogger and the heater switch to "plug" in. I found out the defogger wire coming out of the console is not hooked up. Where do I look to find the 3-wire connector? I apparently did not plug in the heater switch. Where do I look for the connector? If anyone has done a dash or has one apart, can you please give me some help with this wiring? All I need is to find the connectors and plug them in. I have a "small guy" coming to help me on Friday. I am hoping I can tell him where to look. OK, guys??

I wonder sometimes about how MUCH light you can get out of the 7 inch headlamps, and instead of adding a pair of spots or extra driving lamps, you could just turn on both filaments (low &high) of the headlamps using a set of relays. Could you just add a shunt to the wiring so both filaments are powered when you hit the high beams? I think you'd probably be at the limit of the wiring (65W + 55W= 120W or 10 amps each) plus an amp or two to make up for the old wires. Then you'd get both the wider beam with the longer high beams.

Hey Folks, I was curious as to what type/make battery you had in your 'Z' Right now I have a regular lead acid battery in the 'Z'... after I drive the car and park back in the garage, I pull the battery, put it on the bench and hook up my smart charger to it to keep the battery charged... This get's to be a pain, BUT I'm worried about the acid boiling out, and getting all over the place in the engine bay if the charger goes wonky... I also have a Red Top Optima that I have another smart charger in the garage, but it doesn't fit the factory battery hold down frame... I would prefer to switch to the sealed Optima that way I think I'm safer from battery acid getting all over…

Its behind the speedo. I tried getting to it to pull the electrical plug to disable it but couldn't get to it. The FSM saying I need to remove the speedo to get to it but I can't even find the lower screw for removing the speedo (I kind of hate the thought of pulling the speedo any way incase I have trouble getting it seated back in again). I don't see a separate fuse for the buzzer which I could pull. Does anyone else have a suggestion for disabling it? This is on my 76. I don't mind it so much for example when I open the door with the key still in it, but mine also alarms while I'm cranking the engine over to start it, and I'd rather beable to better hear the engine whi…
