I suspect any post with hookup in the title will get some attention from this bunch. For those of us attending ZCON in Memphis, we need some way to easily contact each other, arrange meetings and introductions, ...etc. I propose we look at the Push-To-Talk app called Zello, available for Android and iPhone. My local club is getting underway with it for local cruises and the caravan trip to Memphis. I've gone on Zello and set up a channel named "czcc", password "classicz" - everything in lower case. We were very proud last night to see our members do so well at this years ZCON! I am sad to report that Jim Arnett is actually a vacuum and not human (as demonstrated by how he cleaned up the place). Mike and his son Alex warmed up by taking a muscle car award at a competition in Texas before coming to ZCON! Those two are a first class tag team! There are a few reports of temporary blindness caused by opening their hood in the bright sunlight of Memphis. I hope their insurance covers this! Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I created a special forum just for chit-chat about events and conventions. These posts were in our general chit-chat forum in the past, but, these posts were hard to find. Hopefully by adding this forum, our members will have an easier time finding and socializing at these events. While I won't be attending this year, I decided to go over the website to learn about it. Reading the judging rules left me with more questions than it answered. I have a Series I 240z automatic that I have been working on to make as street able as possible. While I think of the car fairly original, the rules would seem to state it Would only qualify as a daily driver. Among the disqualifying modifications include: An aluminum radiator, Dual downdraft Weber carbs, A modern R134 air conditioner, An AC compressor mounted in place of the air pump, A leather covered dash, LED headlights. So am I damned to ride in the also ran class?

Eddie Radatz of "E. Radatz Motorsports" (Atlanta) is driving out to the convention in a restored 240z. It will be entered in the show and should finish highly. The car is silver and 72 or 73 model. The restoration took about 5 years, and around $36k. Stop by and visit with him at the show.
