Here are a couple of in car videos taken Last weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park with the VMSC. In the second video the camera mount came loose a couple of times and it looked like the car was on its side, but rest assured no Z's were harmed in the making of these videos by the way the knocking noise in the second video is the GPS and two-way radio rolling around in the glove box

I've been working with a World Challenge series team this year. World Challenge is within the SCCA Pro Series. Last week we were at VIR. This was my first time at VIR. I've been to many tracks and I would like to say congratulations to all of you who either frequent VIR or are connected in any way. What a beautiful place. Everyone was very helpful and the track is great. I look forward to going there again.

I was just looking through the EProduction entry list for this year's Runoffs. There appears to be thirty entries in that class with only three Z's and out of that whole group only two from west of Kansas. Up jumped the economy I'm guessing..... I only spotted one roadster and one 510 in the other production classes, maybe a 510 in GTL. Good luck everyone. That's not a very big Datsun banner........

Hey all, If anyone is racing in the northern california area (Thunderhill, Laguna Seca, Infineon, Buttonwillow) and would like a helper/crew person please contact me. I am trying to get some crew experience with racecars (especially Datsuns) and also hopefully learn a lot about tracks and how events operate. At the moment I am working on my street Z, getting some seat time at HPDE and also experience by attending events, as I save for the racecar (hopefully an existing ITS 240z). I am also looking into volunteering with SCCA or NASA for events. I know motor sports is not a cheap or easy thing but it can be very rewarding and have been doing lots of research on the subjec…

Hi guys, it's time again to race at Coronado. We will be racing on North Island in San Diego the weekend of September 25th. I hope a few of you can come out and make it, we should have a good turn out of Datsun's again this year, and I believe that Adam Carola will be joining us again this year to race with us on the tarmac. This will be our 4th year at Coronado, and this year promises to be a good one with a number of Datsun's out racing with us. From 1 datsun four years ago to 8 last year we are encouraged as vintage racing organizations are now inviting us to run with them at their more prestigious events. http://www.fleetweeksandiego.org/events/speed-fest.html Hope t…

Burton Brown has sat a new Bonneville Record in his 1972 Datsun 240Z - 172.9 mph in Class F/GT. This has to be a stock bodied 240Z running between 2001cc and less than 3000cc displacement on gasoline. Burton ran his L6 on Carb's - beating the old record of 168.7 mph set by a 308 QV Ferrari running F.I.. Which in turn had beat the previous record of 161 mph, set in 1985 by... another Z. Burton said he would let me know when he has video's ready - watch the Z Car Home Page - I'll be putting hyper-links there when ready. WAY TO GOOOOO Burton! FWIW, Carl B.

Have plans to go to OPR tuesday night(september 28) to run at the dragstrip with my Z. It's Tuesday night drags from 5:30 on till atleast 9pm. 20$ and you can run allnight, what a better dyno then the 1/4 mile!! I plan to play with timing and mixtures and just have some fun the legal way:D They sell racing fuel from 5 till 7:30 if you want some.Bring a helmet if your Z is going under 14 seconds(loosely enforced I heard). So if you got the time-- come out and play!

We are hosting another ZCCC track day at our new track High Plains Raceway this Saturday sept 11th. The z car club of colorado is hosting another track day at High Plains Raceway on Saturday sept 11th. This is just a reminder, if you're curious about the track and might be interested in tracking your car in the future come out to HPR. The club doesn't race wheel to wheel and only limited passing is allowed on designated areas on the track. We want everyone to be able to drive their car home after the day without any body work being needed. Don't be shy about asking for rides. Just wear long cotton pants, closed toed shoes, long sleeve cotton shirt, and if you have one bri…

I'm not going to be getting the race car out this year and have about 12 gallons of 110 leaded to get rid of. IIRC the brand was Rocketsport. It's been sitting for 1 year w/stabil in 5gallon jugs in the dark basement. I was going to dilute it with some fresh stuff and octane isn't all too critical with my motor, but anyway I figured it would be good for someone running 10ish:1 compression as is. Hit me up on pm or email prreith@hotmail.com EDIT: looking for someone local to the Milwaukee area of course. I could meet somewhere as well.
