Hey everyone, I just registered because of my quickly growing interest in Zcars, primarily the 240Z. I am looking to get one and was wondering what the typical 1/4 and 1/8 mile times are, along with trap speeds and the other typical information involved in drag racing. I realize that they come with L24 engines, the 2.4 liter inline 6, and have read about L28 swaps. If I swapped in an L28, I would want the turbo engine (which is in the 280, right?). A boost controller can be used on this, right? Just trying to learn more before I make a costly mistake, thanks. I did a search and came up with a little, but these are small non time consuming questions so I figured I'd …

Is anybody watching the Bull Run rally on Spike TV? (Tuesdays 10p, re-airs Thursday 11p) What do you think about the format of this rally; the day part is a 300 - 400 mile run from one city to the next, then an "Extended competition" (obstacle course) in the afternoon or evening, then a night run to the next city. I like giving the teams a choice of a chosing the highway course, called "highway" or driving on their own routes, called "my way." Picking up a time bonus on the "my way" route seems to be a great thing if you're a little behind in time. The best thing about the road course part is that they aren't making a big thing about the cars driving 100+ MPH the who…

Hello Z'ers, This is just a note that my team will have three cars running the SVRA/HSR vintage support race this year in Sebring. This happens this week. Sorry for the late notice. If anyone is coming to Sebring to party for the 12 hour, please stop by our tent and say hello. We'll have a large canopy with lots of Nissan and Datsun flags. See you, Greg Ira

Ok, I'm a complete newbie to this whole 240 scene. Watched it from the outside for numerous years and different people driving them, but it's only been now that I've considered buying one. I'm looking into getting more heavily involved in racing and trying to build a career out of it somehow. Long shot, yeah, I know. In the process of trying to find a good track car I was told the 240Z was a good base for potential. I had heard in the past that 240s could generate substantial amounts of power, so that goes without asking. BUT, I was never told about their handling ability stock. Aftermarket I generally assume to be 200% better than stock, but I'm more concerned …

It is supposed to start Sat Jan 16 @ 4:00pm ET On Speed TV More information: http://www.speedtv.com/programs/bullrun/ But for some reason, they still have the teams from last year still on the website. I will probably watch the first two or three, then get tired of all the 'drama.' thxZ

Okay guys, we need your help. DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMULA!!! Stick with the exact question and help us please! We are trying to determine how many race drivers in history have WON automobile races on ALL of these surfaces: 1. Dirt tracks of any kind. This includes but is not limited to dirt ovals, Mickey Thompson, all-dirt rallies, short course off road circuits, etc. Any track that is genuine, 100% dirt. 2. Road courses. 3. Asphalt ovals. 4. Desert race courses such as Baja, Vegas to Reno, Dakar, etc. Yes, local and club racing counts so long as the driver WON. Any type of car counts if it has four wheels. Near misses are irrelevant. Car type is irrelevant. We are…
