Quick racing update for anyone interested. Having cooled off for a week, I'll give a quick run down on where my DASH for Tires race went at Road Atlanta. Couple of weeks ago I sold my NOS dash on ebay raising money for "The Race" for me of 06...Course the dash only has 4 more good heat cycles:cry: , but I still feel it was a good deal for me ..qualifing on outside front row. Wound up in third after turn one at start, battling with a VW corrado for several laps. Our group had been combined with a group of "quicker" corvettes..TCC. Although these vettes "handled" well on the straights, some of these cars struggled in the twisty sections... The vettes were gi…

I am considering the purchase of an ITS car and I am not sure I can get out to view it in person. If anyone is near that area and can check out the car please pm me and I will get you the contact instructions. Also, I am not sure that the cage will be current, last annual tech on the car was '01 and I can't tell from the GCR if I will need to update the cage. Does anybody know offhand if the GCR cage requirement has changed since '01? Thanks, Paul

Hi Guys! To update a 240z to electronic ign. which is the best dist. to use for road race purpose? Today I got the Alt. out of a 280 turbo, its a Hitache with the edge square, after I had it out I saw a different 280 with rounded edges and a diode behind. Is there one more reliable than the other or about the same? Do I need that diode? Thanks: Pablo

While driving from Hotel to car show last weekend, I got an idea for a way you can do a rally course without a navigator. Instead of putting the diagrams on sheets to read, the intructions could be recorded onto a cassette tape or CD. This would guarantee that if you were going the right speed, you would reach each point where a stop, turn, or whatever, would be made. All you need to do is listen, and do what the instructions tell you. Of course you'd need a CD player, or a cassette tape player, in your car. For example, if you were driving down the road to an intersection 2 miles away, you would hear the instructions to "Drive 30 MPH" and then about 4 minutes later, y…

Went to an open practice day with the wuzza a few weeks ago. Just some pics from the day: The car in its current setup is great fun to drive. As it stands, even on street tyres/no lsd it has admirable traction out of corners [ignore the first few pics, that was on corner entry!]. The tail does like to come out a bit if you turn in too jovially, but in general the car is relatively neutral. The suspension consists of custom valved bilstein struts ( digressive front, linear rear) with shortened struts and coilovers. Wilwood front brakes, sigma rears. It's not as quick down the straight as most of the cars there on the day, but it sounds pretty sweet with the webers! h…

Here's a good opportunity for those interested in taking your street Z to the track for a little fun. Passing on the note I just received, we'll be there too. Craig & Cindy ------------------------ As of now there are only 15 drivers signed up for Wed. Oct. 11th. With the low attendance, this is an ideal time for beginners to come out and get more attention than they normally would in class, on the track and with instructors. This is also a good opportunity for the more experienced drivers to get lots of uninterrupted fast laps. Wednesday October 11th, 2006 at Willow Springs on the Big Track. The track day will be held in the same fashion as all of our other eve…
