I have been autoxing in FP with 23x9x15 goodyear cantilevers on 15x7's for the last year. I have heavy steel wheels and would like to change to a lighter wheel. Would I be better off going to a 15x8 or should I stay with the 15x7 size? Thanks

I have been told that Nissan made a head gasket specific to the E31 head and that gaskets available in the US are for the E88. The E31 head gasket supposedly has a slightly smaller diameter while the E88 has a slightly larger diameter. Can anyone verify this? If it is true, would anyone know the Nissan/Datsun part number for the E31 head gasket? Could I also get the part number for the E88? I will be in Japan shortly and would like to find out if I can have some friends track this part down. Mike

OK - Now is the time to start working on my 240z suspension since I got a base line on my car this weekend at WSIR. Shocks are the first to be replaced, from reading here it seems there are early struts and late model. I already have the coil over kits installed and camber adjusters with some blown Tokico :tapemouth Illumina shocks and want to go with a better shock setup. Which from reading sounds about right with the spring setup - 250 /F & 275 /R I haven't pulled these apart yet so I don't know which struts I have nor do I know how to tell the difference yet. There is a diameter difference from what I understand. Any help there would be appreciated! I know Ma…

We are conducting motorsport polls to determine how many people race their Z Cars. Each poll has two parts, one to determine the serverity of the addiction, the other to find out what vintage Z Car you race, and its level of modification. After completing the polls, if you wouldn't mind sending me an email or PM with your email address, and more information about you Z car, it would be much appreciated. The results and a racer profile for each driver will be created on the ZCCA website. Below are links to the different polls: Autocross, How often? Autocross, What Z Car? Road Race, How often? I've just recently started to see a few programs dedicated to this type of Japanese racing called "JGTC". I heard that this Japanese racing will be making it's US debut at the California Speedway on December 18th & 19th of this year. Along with other auto manufacturers, the big three are Nissan with the 350Z, Toyota with the Supra and Honda with their top of the line race car, don't know the name, NRX (?). Anyway, I know we don't dicuss the 350Z here but from what I been watching that's the car to beat. Anyone know more about this type to Japanese racing that's soon to come to America. I'm very interested and would love to know more. Vicky

Listen for the rising engine revs with a loss of traction down Conrod Straight at close to 300kph, the earler part is over the crest of the mountain, nowhere to go if you get it wrong. Anyway, enjoy, even if there are no Nissans http://www.shoalhaven.net.au/~motorsport/rof/page8/movie003.wmv

Hey all. See information here So this is my first drag race. It is a 4-speed. I would appreciate tips on stageing and what not. Also tune up tips and parts I should check before racing. I will do a valve adjust and change my spark plugs and wires. I may also change my headgasket. Also what are your opinions on tire pressure? I'm thinking i'll remove the front bumper and my passenger seat. Keep the rear bumper and louvers for the weight on the rear wheels? What should my launch strategy be? I've practiced once before, reved it high, floored it and dropped the clutch, I got a good bit of wheel spin which made me slower, but I don't recall how much gas I had in the tank. So …
