Anyone going to the next meet (09/07)? Brett, still hanging to see you on the strip. What do you say, you wanna go? I'm as nervous as hell about my first time and if I run a 15 I'll be exstatic. The car (read: driver) won't be ready by the next meet. I'm just worried that I'll do another uni joint, the diff or the tranny. Everyone keeps telling me the Supra 5 speeds aren't the best box for hard launches so I'm really hesitant.

We in Australia have sealed circuit track competition events called Supersprints. Basically they are not racing events where the winner is the first one across the line, rather around five cars start one after another and the winner is the one who does the best lap time. There may be several groups of say five cars in the competition but only one group at a time is on the track. The cars are usually road registered cars, not outright racing cars. The financial viability of such events is being crippled due to safety and control requirements like mechanical scrutineering, numbers of fire and flag marshalls, medical crew, etc. So I was wondering what the situation was in o…

Hi all, I was wondering where I can find more information about racing in Oregon? I would like to start going to races as a spectator and possibly help in the pits during events. Any idea where I can start looking? -- Mikey

I just got a 240 Z racecar this weekend and it comes with a spare tranny. I'm told its a NISMO 5-speed... numbers on the tranny are something like NMCD 2#... I don't know what that means. Any help would be appreciated greatly... I'll have some descriptions of the motor and Weber carb set up later as I have some time to type. Eric aka ZMunkey

Just got my Kirkey Ultimate Road Race Seat today. Here's some pics of the excellent quality throughout... Back detail. Some billet machined aluminum and the rest is punched/beveled aluminum sheet for extra strength. Very comfortable! Side with lower mountings. All billet machined aluminum. My Jr. road racer -- 4 1/2 years old -- (can't get too mad at him for his choice of drivers)

Hi guy's Time to shake up the Rally Forum and get rid of some cob webs. It's been a while since we had a rally discussion, so I'll fire it up. Although Australia based, Victoria particularly, I thought I would give this event a plug, [mainly because I'm directing it, so anything is fair game!] and who knows maybe I might see some other zeds cruising around in this. The 2003 Shortest Day Navigational Trial is combined with the in-augeral Historic Rally Association All Bitumen Tour. It is being held on Sunday 29th June and entries are now being accepted for either the event or tour. The Event is based on a 200km Navigational Trial, comprising some of the better bitumen and…

I managed to scrape up a small bit of money so I'm starting to build my 72 E-Production car :classic: Ordered 100 feet of 1.5" x .120" DOM tubing for the roll cage, 25 feet of 1" x .120" Chromoly tubing for my custom control arms and my new seat (I needed the seat first so I can make sure my cage is built to fit). I purchased a Kirkey Ultimate Aluminum Road Race Seat from i/o port racing in CA. Next step is to take my new Millermatic 175 over to my crew chief's shop to build the cage. I'll post pictures as I progress.

Why don't we get together to build the ultimate race car? We have all the knowledge, brain and talent to do so. We are a lot on this site, so a few buck each for a real adventure? What a way to get toghether around a nice project with our club flag on it. Here what I think, let's plan to run a car in the 2004 Panam race in Mexico... it's open enough to express our wildest dream... Any imputs welcome... Fred

Do any of you east coast folks know anything about this car? http://www.ashcom.homestead.com/WallDatsun.html It looks like a Bob Sharp Racing IMSA GTU car running vintage. I would love to find more pictures of it. Thanks.
