Hi everyone, I was going through some of my parts yesterday and researching what variation of trim parts went on what "series" 240Z. I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread(one location) to show all of the variations of different parts that went into 240zs as they were manufactured. My thought is to collect all of this info on this thread, and create a technical article that could help in defining a correct "what went when" parts time line and maybe help out in the creation of judging documentation that Carl Beck is working on. My thought is to post side by side pictures of the variations of parts at a standardized background to make the formatting of t…

I found this interesting video that shows some of the many designs that preceded the 240Z <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Ue0f0pCptVA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Are there similar videos for the design of the chassis and engine?

There is a discussion going on the club's Facebook page about this picture. It is being identified as Mr. K's personal car and I wonder if this is true or not. I know the car. Have seen it many times. And even though I haven't talked to Johnnie since the Nashville convention, I was not aware that it has been, or ever was "restored". Especially to this level. The last time I saw Mr. K, I also saw the car. And I don't recall the car looking like this picture would lead me to believe; meaning looking restored and snappy! Perhaps someone can help me out. When and where was this picture taken? Is this his car or a copy? No one on Facebook, even Carl Beck, can descri…

You wouldn't be able to find it if you tried, nestled deep in the Chiba-ken countryside, a stone-throw away from the new Sodegaura Forest Raceway. This is where magic happens, you feel it the instant you set foot inside one of the garages where restoration projects are underway. Car Builder>> Ta Auto | Speedhunters

"Mr. William R. Gorham: Providing direction for Japan's mass-production and high precision technology." It is great to see that William R. Gorham was inducted into the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame {JAHF} this past Sunday. He was certainly a significant contributor to industrial Japan in general, and more specifically to its early automobile industry. "Mr. Ryuichi Tomiya: Challenge to develop Flying Feather and ultra-compact economy cars." At the same time - Ryuichi Tomiya was also inducted. Ryuichi Tomiya was a Stylists, Designer and car builder. Among many notable things, he designed the Leaping Hare hood ornament for early Datsuns, did Advertising Artwork for Datsun …

What a neat segment It focused on a Japanese restorer of Fairlady Z's. Beautiful work . One of his comments fits with comments I have seen in this community. It is totally wrong to modify or go hybrid. Stay 100% original. Anyway if you can access Velocity TV, check it out.
