Hi people, I was just wondering what info and pictures were available of the '69 Tokyo show in which the z432 made it's debut. for example any claims of what orders/purchases were made that day? and general response and write ups to the z432 from the show. was it the star or upstaged by another? any archive pictures would be great. thanks in advance

I found this laying in the dirt as I cruised the pick and pull one day harvesting Z car fasteners. Anyone have an idea what it might have come from?

JDM-car-parts.com is offering this http://jdm-car-parts.com/item-for-sale/z432-z432r-fairlady-z-flat-panel/. They're not offering a fuel tank to mach, but the tank doesn't look too difficult to replicate as it seems to be constructed from two end plates and a piece of sheetmetal wrapped around. This is a picture Kats posted, thanks Kats! I assume the hight and dept of the fuel tank to be the same as the standarad 60 liter tank so the dimensions are somewhat easy to estimate. It would be nice to know the correct measurements though. If you have any information on, or pictures of the tank, please post them! Best regards, Peter

I'm interested in finding out more about the performance parts he made for the 280z. I'm currently working on a 78 280z MINT with a Bob Sharp Racing Valve Cover. Was wanting to see if he created other performance parts.

Following on from a thread topic started by scotauto http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?42023-what-are-these-tail-lights-from A question was asked about 2 badges that where mounted on the front of the car. A discussion was started about non zed badges that where displayed on the front of his car. Rather than hijack the thread, here is an opportunity to post and tell about the badges that you may have acquired either in your zed or as a navigator. Zeds, have a proud history in Rallying around the world, many of these rally would have or still are "high" profile events in which the organisers would present a commemorative badge or emblem that the driver woul…

Today I received this 1970 240z silver bar, in the mail, that I won on ebay last week. It weighs 1000 grains (64.8 grams), is made of sterling silver and comes from the Franklin Mint. It's supposed to be part of the "100 Set Centennial Car Ingot Collection" and was issued 1973-1978, according to the seller. This is an awesome bar and even though mine is a '72, I was lucky enough to find it by chance and win it!

I found this online article titled "Z Beginning: Datsun 240Z Racing" http://www.theautochannel.com/publications/magazines/sci/aug-sept-97/datsun.frame. It was published in the Aug/Sept 1997 issue of Sports Car International magazine and documents the roundtable discussion that took place in 1996 the morning after Nissan USA's celebration of the Z (which was being discontinued in the US). Participants included Mr. K, Peter Brock, Bob Sharp, Trevor Harris, John Knepp and John Morton from the BRE race team, Bob Thomas who handled Datsun public relations at the time, and Les Cannaday (CDM). I thought it gave some interesting insight into the early days of racing Datsuns in…
