To commemorate the BRE 510 winning the 1971 2.5 Trans-Am championship, Datsun had 23"x32" Posters made up. From The BRE2.net Web Sight: "In going through our archives we found some original posters Datsun had made in 1971 to commemorate the BRE 510 winning the 2.5 TransAm Champtionship that year. Each will be signed by Peter and sold on a first come first served basis. When they are gone... they will be gone. They have been stored flat all these years and are in "like new" condition." $95.00 plus S&H See: http://bre2.net/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=B&Category_Code=funstuff FWIW, Carl B.

I have 1975 280Z 2+2 manufactured in December of 1974. the last five digits are 00306. I was wondering if my car was part of the first shipment or something like that(like prototypes, demo cars, etc.)or rare(2+2). Or if they changed things after the first couple cars(problems). To sum it up I was wondering if my car is special(not like z's aren't) in any way or just normal. Just a little curious thats all. If someone has any information about this please let me know. Thanks.

I wonder if any of you would have information about Nissan early rallying. I would like to find when Nissan/Datsun managed first overall rally win, anywhere in the world. Thank you, m

Just found this forum and wanted to give you some info on a Zcar I had for 15 years. I bought it in 1980 and sold it in about 1995. It was Dark Green with Butterscotch and the production date stamp was 10/69. It did have a hand throttle next to the choke and dealer installed A/C. This was in the SF Bay Area and I was the 3rd owner. 4sp. When i ended up with it, it was probably in a front ender at one point, repainted dark metallic green, interior was changed or dyed black and the high compression head was swapped out for the lower one. I'm trying to think of any other peculiarities but that's all I can think of for now. It was sold to a gentleman in Los Angeles with the s…

Hey guys, MotiveMag.com have just right now posted an article on the S30 and the Z33, together. http://www.motivemag.com/pub/feature/verticals/Motive_Vertical_-_240Z_and_350Z.shtml http://grandjdm.com/2007/10/11/luke-i-am-your-father/ Apologies if this was posted in the wrong area, there's a few different subforums I thought might be best, but this seemed the most appropriate.

Has anyone seen these pictuers that I 'borrowed' from another site? There are some incredible pictures here. Beware, however, if you're a dial up user because there are a lot of them. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2079707

Don't want to open the 'production-vs-sales' can of worms again, but I have need of some figures relating to ZG-Specific Production Data. We run a vehicle at Bonneville for Land Speed Records. Our entry has been protested citing a production figure of '482' ZG units produced. I have no idea where this die-hard Ford/Chevy Fenatic got his numbers, but he's posted the $100 protest fee, and effectively blocked us from Competing at the Speed Week Competition in August by this tactic. What I am looking for, is any documentation regarding the ZG option being produced. I am also interested in any JDM (or other country for that matter) sales brochures that show the ZG Nose as a…

Hi, im new to the forum and the Z world so bare with me and my dumb questions for a couple months. I just bought a 240Z that im restoring and it was made in December of 1971. Now when im doing some research on the net, I've found some 71's with the rear quarter roof emblem that says 240Z, and other ones that just have the Z emblem on that panel. I want to be period correct, but i really like that 240Z emblem . My car doesn't have the rear hatch vents, and most of the cars I've seen have the vents and emblem hand in hand, but i have seen some without the vents and they have the 240Z emblem. :stupid: Can anyone help me out?
