I know Skylines are not available here in the US, but I have managed to grab a KAAZ 2 way LSD. Does anyone know if the internal R32 R200 Diff would fit in a 280Z R200?

I'm finally back on my 240z resurrection project and have stripped the header and exhaust manifolds off the '75 280 engine I have. I never had an engine in the 240z that I bought to compare but I'm not sure where this tube is going to connect once the engine is in place. I am putting SU carbs on the engine and do not plan to run the water heating through the carbs since I live in CA where it is never cold enough to worry about heating the carbs. I have included a picture of the tube that sticks out of the side of the engine and attached to the intake manifold that I took off. Also, I found out that I only have 1 of the 2 brackets that bolts to the block of the engine …

I've searched for the answer to this question and will continue to search but in case someone wants to help... here's the question. I have the civic fan installed. Now it's time to connect the wires. The civic wiring has a plug with two wires, blue with a black stripe and blue with a white stripe. Which one should I splice to the red 240Z fan motor wire and which one should I splice into the black 240Z fan motor wire? Looking at the civic fan plug, there are two + indicators at the plug which is confusing. The connectors are flat and at a right angle to one another. I would think that the civic blue/black would connect to the black or negative 240Z wire and the civic b…

Anybody know of any problems installing 300ZX seats in 240Z? I most concerned with width and seat height, and I can't find a 300ZX locally to measure.

I have a bent forward crossmember and was hoping to swap either one from a 260 or 280 into my 240. Will this work?

Hello all, A few years back I read about this BMW locking gas cap that was alleged to be a perfect fit in our 240Zs, so I bought one for my 72. Prior to this, my car had some no-name brand locking gas cap that some previous owner had installed long ago, but the locking mechanism broke and it would no longer seal. I picked up one of these BMW caps from partstrain.com based on part numbers I found on zcar.com. I believe this swap has since been sold by MSA, as discussed here, and on the zcar.com thread linked in this thread: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24952 At any rate, the BMW gas cap did not fit my flange. The center section of the cap was…

Has new reapostery and never been overbored (motor) and is asking $1500 for it or should I stay with the L24 and also on the this 280z do the have the L28 or L26 ?

Alright, so this summer, for certain I will be doing a clutch replacement on my Z (starting to slip something awful) ... Anyway, my question is about using a clutch kit from a 2+2 in a 2 seater coupe ... I mean the advantage seems somewhat obvious ... slightly bigger clutch, somewhat more heavy duty, but less expensive than a Stage 1 kit. I'm somewhat certain that the 2+2 has a heavier flywheel (19lbs vs 17lbs?), but would that prevent me from using the 2+2 pressure plate/bearing/clutch... I've never done a clutch before, so I'm a little clueless :stupid:

I bought a 280z, my first one......Someone has converted it to a 5 speed. The clutch has no adjustment left out, and it engages at about 2 inches from the floor.......so the tranny shifts hard (hard to go in gear) and clanks a lot.......Could there be wron components, like the clutch fork or the TOB? The pushrod on the master is at the last thread, the slave cylinder pushrod is hanging way out just to touch the clutch fork......I am at a loss, this thing needs to be tightened up......Help?
