Parts Swapping

hey, i was wondering are the P90 head, and N42 block used in any other engines except the L28ET? and is the P90 compatible with other blocks? sorry if these questions are noob, please put me out of my misery and inform me .

im getting a 240z pretty soon with no engine and i got about 6k to spend. so i was wondering what are some motor swap choices? ive seen sr20s but thats about it. so any help on easyness of swaps and whats available would be nice. im getting the car from a guy in town who actually has one with a 350 in it. i really would like to do the sr20 or the 300zx tt motor. advice or links to sites would help thanks -new z owner rob

Looking for a replacement half shaft for my 1978 automatic...does anybody know what years will fit? Help! Thanks!

Help! I have a 78 probably with a 77 engine in it (both are automatics). The tranny died. Bought a used replacement from a 83 zx. will it fit? Fly wheel is rubbing! What is my problem? Do I need an extra engine spacer between the engine and transmission? When I got the car starter didn't engage...put the missing spacer on the starter and it was better but still does not engage sometimes when it is cold...is this part of the problem? Not sure about some of the screwy things that were done to this car before I got it. Do I need anything else? Where can I get one? Should I try again with the 77 tranny I just found? I'm dyin' here! I found somewhere a page that mentioned the difference between single eared/tabbed 5spds & the double but I can't find it now. Any help?

I am looking (after searching) for somewhat reliable guidelines as far as what European models work with their European equivalent. I have a 1975 280z (if my handle didn't give it away ) and will be in Europe for the very long foreseeable future. So if something goes wrong I wonder how available or a replacement part can be had. I don't know if this is where this thread goes, but if anyone throughout FL has 240,260,280 with a good body please let me know. Have been looking for a few months and have a couple of leads, but thought I would try the power of the Z community before I jumped on them. I don't care if the motor is shot or if it even has one, I have plenty of blocks and motors parts at the house, just no good body.

Would the engine from an '82 ZXT 2+2 fit properly into the '78 that I'm working on? Not sure if the mounts are different because of the 2+2, thinking of the tranny also...
