Thinking about swapping parts from another model Zcar?

Completed my auto to 5spd swap a few days ago with no real surprises. Only thing that I had never heard of was the small disc that rides on the crank side of the flywheel. It's on the automatics only. Once this piece was removed the swap went smoothly. I should have done this years ago. Running a 3.54 rear with 78 5spd so it does well on the highway and out of the hole. Thanks for all of the info you guys have posted on this board. Made it really easy to put a shoping list together before I got started.

I recently bought and restored a wooden steering wheel from a 240Z to install in my 260Z. I don't have the horn pad for the 240 wheel, and I would like to figure out how to make the later model horn pad fit. The 260 and 280 pads, though differing in appearance, are interchangeable. Unfortuanately, the same is not true for swapping between those models and the 240s. Any ideas? Has anyone ever seen an adapter that allows the later horn pads to be used on the 240 steering wheels? Thanks in advance!! -Rob

What flywheel will work on my 83 2.8 ZX Engine from a 2+2 in a 76? Do I need to use a 2+2 flywheel or can I use a regular coupe flywheel?

I was wondering if anyone has ever put in a Ford 302 into a 240z? I currently have a 302 and I want to purchase a 240. I have not been able to find anything on this kind of swap. If you have any information and this swap I'd greatly appreciate it.

Firstly, the body is trash... not even a resto candidate. What I like, that I might use: -perfect condition bonnet (ventless, unlike my 77) -4 excellent condition "BBS" style wheels, Black w/ Aluminum "rings(?)" -nice condition Corsa type steering wheel -windshield is perfect (mine has rock chip, and my rubber seal is hard and shiny) .... AND, the shifter knob tells of 5-speed. If so, I'd love to have that 5th gear (provided the tranny is in good shape:ermm: ) The car appears to not have ran in many months/few years. I'm waiting to hear back from the guy if it's still for sale. QUESTION: Did 73's come w/ 5 speed?

I am looking for front bumper rubber end caps to a 75 280z. I have looked at Z Car Depot & Z Source for this part. Are there other reputable sites including junkyards that are good sources for used parts? If these parts are hard to find, is there an alternative idea that might make the ends of the front bumper look good?

I've been searching these forums and google to find a basic efi to carb "how to" type thing, but I must be missing it. I'm a beginner, so a point in the right direction towards a website or a basic checklist would help. My story is my head was warped off my 1978 280z, so I was given a decent head, e88, for a 1972 240z. I have it installed, finding out the fuel injected manifold won't fit, I've decided to use the parts I was also given to convert it to carbed, stock carbs and manifold, airbox. Do I need a new fuel pump or just a regulator? Do I need a different computer, or do carbs not use one? Is there anything else I need?
