MSA tells me you can't get a vacuum pot for a '78 L28 dizzy (Auto trans/Fed spec.) so I need to find a compatible one. Any suggestions? Would there be a disadvantage to going with just the mechanical (9 deg) advance? It seems the vac pot can potentially add another 15 or so degrees of advance ... thx.

Can I leave the bell housing and transmisson attached to the motor to do a L2.8 swap into a 240z? Another Ques. what seals typically need to be replace on a 5 sp. manual tranny out of a 1981 280ZX? The owner said all the tranny fluid leaked out. I have not checked this yet. Car is not running. Thanks. Waylon

was over a buddy of mines the other day, he restores classic aston martins. couple of amazing cars there... anyways he had a straight six from a parts car that had tripple webbers... any idea if they are compatible with a Z? if he said he can most likely get em to me.

I know you guys have heard this before but,there is a limited availability for nice wheels without going custom, for a 4-113 bolt pattern. Does switching to a 5 bolt hub solve the problem? There are a lot more z32 wheels available.

Hi I found a 280zx turbo that someone is selling. Its just a parts car really but the motor, transmission is all there. I am mainly buying it for the turbo pieces but what other parts would be good to get off of the car before I have it crushed? I am thinking they had R200s with 3.90 grears but I am not sure. Oh I am getting the parts for my 260z or to sell or trade:)

I did some searching, but couldn't find anything to nail this down totally. Are the pedal clusters for all S30s interchangeable? Can I use one from a '77, for example? Or do I need to find one from an early car to go in my early '71?

Does anybody know if the driveshaft from a 72 240 is identical between an automatic vs 4 speed car? I see in the Motorsports catalog there is only one part number, but I'd like to be sure... thank you in advance
