Hello y'all, I'm in Dallas Texas and could use a little info: I'm looking for water pump, clutch fan, fan and radiator for a '71 240. I'm not sure if the water pump went bad, or if it's just the fan clutch, but the whole assembly went slack and the wobbly fan ripped a hole in my radiator. The radiator is toast! If anyone else has had this happen and has experience doing the repair please say hello. And, if anybody has serviceable parts in Dallas, please let me know. Thanks, Mike G.

Hello All... the Honda Prelude 97, 98, 99, 00, and 01 blower fits a 240Z. There are additional screw holes in the flanges that fit perfectly and I clipped off the nibs in the cage with toenail clippers. A much newer replacement part and it REALLY blows.

I've been reading all over the net and haven't really found a GOOD site for info on motor swaps. What exactly are the do's and don'ts. The car I'll be building will be track only so smog stuff is out the door. I've been thinking of doing a RB26DET/TT or other RB series. Or perhaps SR? motor swap, the numbers money wise look astronomical for a RB26DETT. I also am not intersted in doing a V8 swap. Thinking along the lines of HIGH BOOST, HIGH LAG 4 or 6 cylinder turbo motors.. Won't mind the turbo(s) spooling like 2-3k shy of redline. Any ideas or links ? My car is a 1972 240zx

Ok after some searching i found a 1982 280z non turbo 5 speed tranny in the local bone yard. The tranny has 160k miles on it =( and they are asking $300. Is this worth it? and will i most likely have to rebuild the tranny? Ohh yah and most importanly this will fit in my 1976 280z right?

I have a June 1974 Z and need a hood and right fender. I can aquire a Nov 1978 280 Z. Will the hood and right fender fit my Z? I was told the 78Z has a turbo head and a 5 speed. Is there anyway to find out if the differential is a limited slip rear end with out taking it apart? Will the differential fit the 74Z? Can I swap my 260Z head to the 280 motor to keep the carbs and use the 280z motor? Any thoughts will be helpful. Hawk

I just bought this diff on Ebay minus the halfshafts for $200. It has the smooth cover. Will it bolt right up to my 72 240? Anybody know what halfshafts I'll need? I've heard horror stories but have seen conflicting info. thanks in advance...

I bought a 280Z clutch and fan from someone on ebay. I restored the clutch and the fan and tried to mount it on my '71 240Z. I have a new 4-row rad in the car and a 280 (F54) engine. The fan assy is too thick to mount in the car. It is about 5/8" thicker then the 240 fan assy. Maybe I got a 280ZX assy. What do I do? Is there a thinner or shorter clutch for the 280.

On my 240z the PO put in the XR 3000 Electronic Ignition System with the L24 engine. That engine is now toast and I plan on putting in a 280z engine. Would I be better off using the 280z distributor or stay with the electronic ignition from the 240z ( using same distrib. as l24) for best performance? One other question, in that L24 engine it had the E88 head with a Isky racing cam, don't have specs atm but would that fit into the 280z head? I don't know what head it is yet, getting engine tomorrow. So is the cam size the same in the heads so it would simply replace the stock one? I don't know much about cams so any help would be great. I can probably get the exact cam an…

I have a 280zx 1981 parts car that I am putting the engine and tranny into my 71. Will the radiator fit in the 240z? Also will the vaccuum booster for the brakes fit on the 240z? Thanks for any help.
