Parts Swapping

The lower rear suspension arms on my 78 280z 2+2 are rusted pretty bad, and I have two 280zx parts cars with good ones on them. Will the zx ones work on the z, if not where can I get good ones?

Hey all, Ok here's the situation, I have a 71 and 72 240...the 71 shell is in restoreable shape, as in solid shell all around fenders, quarters and doors all smooth, hood and hatch both have rust holes starting..but all suspension and undercarriage parts are pretty rusted up but salvageable, now the 72 has major r/r quarter issues, have all replacment metal parts to repair but came across the 71 in a "garage find" recently made the guy an offer of 1500.00 for shell and numbers matching engine with 66,000 miles( motor was inspected buy respected z mechanic and verified that had minimal wear) but needs a teardown as it has sat for too many years, 2 4 speed trannys and a…

I installed all my stuff off of my 71' 240 onto it, I have a 76' electronic ignition new wires and good plugs, also installed my headers, aswell as my dual weber carbs did all that turn the key and it starts not smooth like my old one but starts. hi all, I am in need of a spare R180 diff flange as I'm about to swap a R200 into my S30. I have a 4.11 R160 in there right now & can't raid it for parts as I need the Z to still run in the meantime. Thanks

I'm just trying to get plenty of input on this subject before I start hacking away. Here's my situation: I have a 71 240z with heavy front end and frame rail damage. Otherwise the car is in great shape from the firewall back, no rust, fine interior, perfect windows. It has a 3 liter stroker motor that runs, but has a blown head gasket, so it leaks coolant, a 5 speed trans, and a LS200 diff. I also have a 76 280z that is in good shape, stock motor that will run on carbs, but the EFI dont work, with 4 speed trans and stock diff. It has rust in typical areas (rockers, lower wheel wells), and a cracked windshield, and a fairly gutted interior. I also have a 78 280z, that was …

As above,im eyeing an auction and it finishes in 3hrs from now. Can anyone tell me if they fit.Also the front strut tops,will they help me lower the front a little?Are they the ones that are shorter than 260z,or is that the back. Thanks in advance!

can buy a z but owner says needs a fuel pump to run. got a zx pump. will it mount handily on a z or will I need to duct tape somewhere long enough to get to my house.

i don't really know how this works but i have a head for a 72 240z an intake for the same car and i need interior parts like the blower and the blower housing the vent that takes it to the heater core housing the right defrost hose a better stereo heater and light housing and a better center console

Getting ready to make a big change on my 72-240Z. Going from an auto trans to a Borg-Warner 5-speed, replacing the original R180 with a R200 with 3:90 gears.
