   Can I install a set on eibach springs from a 77 280z onto my 73 240z? What issues might I have with this swap? If not, what kind of price can I get for the springs on Ebay?

   Completed my auto to 5spd swap a few days ago with no real surprises. Only thing that I had never heard of was the small disc that rides on the crank side of the flywheel. It's on the automatics only. Once this piece was removed the swap went smoothly. I should have done this years ago. Running a 3.54 rear with 78 5spd so it does well on the highway and out of the hole. Thanks for all of the info you guys have posted on this board. Made it really easy to put a shoping list together before I got started.

   I have a 77 280z that has some bad rings in it. I just took the motor out of my 82 280zx that I am having scrapped. That motor was in perfect shape the body was just a wreck. I was thinking of using the motor and head out of the 280zx for my 280z. The 82 has the flat top pistons and a little extra compression couldn’t hurt. Does the exhaust head and intake manifold fit from the 77? What is better to use? From what I have read I don’t think I can use the head off of the 77 on the 82 motor. Anyone have any suggestions? Or should I just redo the rings on the original motor? Thanks in advance Curtis

   I am replacing the transmission in my 77 280z. It came with a 5 speed but it is slowly eating itself to death. I have a 5 speed transmission I took out of my 82 280zx. My question is: Is this a strait bolt in? I think that I read somewhere that with the taller gear ratio’s in the 280zx transmission I get a different differential. Is that necessary? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Curtis

   i was at my mechanics yesterday to ask him when he was going to rebuild my 2.8 turbo motor that i am putting in my z? he then says why dont you put this in your car? sitting there is a twin turbo 300z motor with 40k. he said he got it from japan for $1400. holy cow was i tempted to take him up on his offer. i would but i just dont have the money for that kind of swap. i have to strong and stick to the plan.

    I found an 200SX Turbo in a junkyard with an complete R200 4.11 differential. Is this an LSD differential? I decided it would be a great swap for my automatic tranny 280Z. What parts are necessary for a complete swap? I heard that for an 280Z it's a direct bolt on, but is it really? Do I have to mess with the speedometer or need any other parts other than JUST the differential? Also in this junkyard there are several 300ZX turbo's sitting out there. I have read about this swap here... but i'm not sure on the difficulty or ease of the install and things required for the swap.
