So I'm finally forcing myself to get my car on the road, hopefully making it to Atlanta later this year. One of the things that I knew I would need to deal with was the throttle linkage. I have an early 260 and while I am still running the Flat Tops, I got rid of the pollution control bastard balance tube and replaced it with a balance tube from a 240. The issue is that the throttle linkage that I have is now too short. My stock 260 linkage from the balance tube to the firewall is ~9" so it doesn't engage the part that is attached to the firewall - it actually falls short by less than .25". I called Capt. O and he confirmed that the linkage on his 76' is longer. Of c…

Hi guys, Just bought a 1973 with a re-done interior and center console in good shape. But there is an empty slot where the choke handle would normally be (car has triple Mikunis so previous owner probably just yanked it). Am out looking for Series 2 240Z choke assembly with handle and cables, wondering if anyone knows if the 260z choke assembly will also work - they look almost identical. Also, anyone know what is supposed to go over the holes to the right of the choke lever slot? Thanks

Is anyone stateside and on the board here using the old Nissan Comp Mk63 4piston calipers. HS30-H has shared that in Europe they use them in conjunction with Peugeot 306 vented rotors - short of getting the diam/thickness/offset of those rotors and matching them up to something locally I am wondering if someone here has already found a suitable US unit? -e

I just went up in the attic of my garage and realized that I need to take a week of so and reorganize my Z parts. I took these photos and this is just a scratch on the surface of my hoarding. The NOS parts are put away in containers, at least they are somewhat organized. Maybe it is ebay time.......again.

Is there an annual Datsun swap meet in the mid-west? Next year I believe that would be the best way to thin out a parts stash. No EBAY, No Shipping! I cleaned out my garage last weekend and plan to clean out the second story this winter and spring. A swap meet will be badly needed and would be a fun event!

There is this listing on eBay with 100's of new parts most in boxes It states some of the parts numbers are for 620 truck. Would most of them be usable on 240Z i.e. 3/4" vs 7/8 master cylinder

I saw on Instagram this morning that someone I follow had a pair of Silvermine Motors Subaru r180 output shafts fail on him before they hit 5,000 miles. I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on the quality of these parts. Otherwise, these are the options: 1. The sane option is to get some output shafts that mate the stock half shafts to the Subaru differential. These seem to be limited to the Silvermine ones ($375) or the ones at Futufbab ($550). The Beta Motorsports ones seem to be NLA. 2. The insane option is to get the output shafts at Z Car Depot that mate a Subaru differential to a Porsche 930 CV axle as well as the CV-to-27-spline stub axle that they have ($1,220…

So I have myself in a pickle here. I'm building custom engine mounts for a silly RB25 swap I'm doing for a friend, and I have no way to test if the angles of the fancy new pads on my mounts that sit on the K-member pads are right angle-wise or spread wise before I drop get the engine in. I have great patterns taken from the guy we got the engine from off of the McKinney mounts he has, so I know I'm "close" I find I have NO spare k-members laying around. I know, I'm shocked and dismayed as well. Anyone with a nice little digital angle meter and no engine in their car care to go tell me the angle from horizontal for each of the two engine mount faces on the k-mem…

I have an auto 3 speed trans and torque convertor pulled from my 71 when I did a manual swap. 2nd gear didn't engage, might just need adjustment, not sure. Free to whomever wants to come pick it up! Moving soon and need it gone. IMG_2999 by blodi, on Flickr
