I was out boneyard jumping yesterday and found 2 280ZXs. I dont have much use or the extra money at this time. The cars bolth have non turbo motors and 5 speeds. The bodys are shot but look to be all there for parts. One is 1981 the other is 1983. One has black honeycomb style wheels the other has the older finned style alum. wheels. I could see about getting parts if anyone is looking. Just looking to help out. Let me know there less then 5 miles from me.

I have heard of people putting the late model 15/16 brake master cylinder in their 240Z's. What is the advantage of this and is it a direct bolt on?? dave record 1972 240Z Rebello built 3.0L Tokico springs, rear sway bar, strut tower bars, short steering knuckles,4-piston front calipers, rear disc brakes (brembo rotors),

looking at getting an unlicenced 280z as a donor car for my 71 240z. There seem to be a few 82 model 280's available locally. Questions? 1. Are they fuel injected, should i use it if it is. 2. Are all the parts i need for the diff swap on the 280z 3. Does the 280 motor bolt straight into my 240, can i use the 240 5 speed box (all the local cars are auto). 4. What other parts can i poach off the 280 that will improve my 240. 5.Should I hold out for a different year 280 or one with a turbo motor. ps will keep all my original 240 parts for the time when a full resto is in order. any help would be appreciated

I've stripped the rear control arms and strut assembly from a 240z and they look like they'll work on my 260z (The early model). I'm pretty sure the bushings need to be replaced, so for the rear sway bar I need 240z bushings right even though I'm still using my 260z's sway bar? These are the bushings on the bolt connecting the rear sway bar to the rear control arms. I've checked around is Energy Suspension brand bushings good? Or should I just order the polyurethane from MSA? Any suggestions?

This weekend I attempted (key word) to swap my 4spd out of 240 with my 5spd out of my 280. The unistall out of both cars went fairly quickly. I swapped out the rear diff. mounts and then washed both tranny's off. At this point I swapped out the throwout bearings and throwout arm. The clutch pistons I left intact due to the aforemention swap. After jacking the 5spd into posistion I fitted the engine and tranny together and bolted them together. I then bolted the rear crossmember in place. I tried to put the clutch piston in place and then noticed the initial problem. The throwout arm would not move at all. I then unbolted the whole unit and tried to seperate them. This w…

i am installing an F54 block and P90a head in place of the original 240z motor. My question is the oil pump i am using did not come with the motor. some people say i need a oil pump from a turbo to lift the hydraulic lifter on a P90a head. is it true? is there any way i can differentiate the oil pump for hydraulic lifter and oil pump for solid lifters?
