i'm in the planning stage of a major project. i'm planing on putting together a tube framed, vg30et powered 240, using suspension components from a z31. The reason for using a v6 in this project is to put more weight on the rear wheels, & even out the weight distribution, but i dont know a great deal about these motors. which leads me to my questions: 1. How much boost can the stock turbocharger produce? & 2. Are these motors difficult to extract power from? thanks in advance for the help

I need some parts for my 72Z V8 converision. I have a complete 6 cyl engine with a set of SU carbs and Hitachi carbs. Auto Transmission can go also. Basically, anything that is on the ngine can go also. I am willing to trade or sell anything off of it. Runs good. I need to find a rear end for my conversion if anyone is interested in selling or trading. I have more Z parts..... Just ask. Thanks. I will sell cheap BTW. My email address is mwoodruff@inchord.com

Who has done a 240 REAR disc conversion? I'm particularly interested in the caliper/disc selection. I'm convinced about the fronts: 88-92 Forerunner V6 4WD calipers 84 non-turbo drilled discs possible spacer issues et al ready for the work! :stupid:

Gidday all, Noticed a Zed in town yesterday with a G nose and I'm wondering what it could have been. It had Fairlady Z on the side front guard. It didn't have the two front guard mirror though Any ideas?

Hi All, I've done some research into the Toyota Caliper swap and I've decided to go ahead with it. I've sourced some calipers from the wreckers and done some measuring. I have standard Australian issue 260Z mags, I don't believe the US ever had these. But I would like to keep them and while they are 14" they curve away from the mounting surface enough that they should fit around the caliper. However.... I've done some measuring, which was hard without removing the original Z caliper from the car, and a bit inaccurate due to not being able to get the measuring stick where I wanted it. I've got 11mm clearance on the mag from the original caliper, and the Toyota caliper s…

I also plan on Rebulding the motor and putting performance parts in it. Any suggestions on what set up is best with this motor. What is a good boost contoroler and how much should I be able to run.:classic:

What seemed like a good idea at first gets complicateder and complicateder. I had a raodster 5 speed modified to fit my early '70Z. The rally gears in the five speed are pretty sweet and the shifter doesn't hit the dash. Now comes the problem. The original driveshaft from the 240 was used with the new tranny. A rear flange was put on the front ujoint, replacing the originat slip joint. Perfect fit, except now the lack of slip has knocked some bearings out of the tranny and I suspect the diff may not have been helped much. The drive shaft guy wants about $500 to put a slip joint in the drive shaft. Does anyone know what the driveshaft on the roadster looks like. W…
