I have been wondering what an early Nissan 2400 OHC cover is valued at. Has any one bought or sold one recently?

Hi Z friends! I would like to find an original working power antenna for my 72 240z. I need all parts if possible. I have tried aftermarket antennas and either don't like the look or have had trouble making them work with my up/down switch on my original a.m./f.m. Stereo. Anyone out there have a working antenna they have replaced and no longer have a need for? Ok Z pals... Do your thing, my girl is missing hearing her music! Thanks! K The lil z lady

I have a straight Series one shell that I want get back on the road for my use, not to sell. I couldn't find any threads although I'm sure they exist on swapping parts. I have many 1973 parts, doors hood, hatch, dash and wiring that I wonder if they will fit on an early chassis. I don't want to do any cutting or adding welded tabs to make things fit. Does anyone know if the things I have listed will work? I'm guessing later door hinges to handle the extra weight. I will get an early brake booster. It will be a dual purpose track day and street car so I'm not worried about the interior.

Hello again all, Making good progress on my 76 Z. Everything is running smoothly, so I can address the "luxuries"... in this case, AC! I've gone for years without AC, but it would be nice to have in the Z, since all the equipment is there and it gets pretty hot around here sometimes... My car came with stock AC. My donor motor is from a 280zx, and it included the AC compressor, which is installed on the engine. The 280z hoses won't fit; I've read that the inlet/outlet (suction/discharge) are switched on these? I think they are different type of fittings? Can I use some sort of adapter, or make some lines? Also, anything else I need to know to get th…

Trying to complete my labor of love and bring a father/daughter project back to life on a 1972 240 z original persimmon and white interior. This started as a father daughter project and life and poor health got in the way! I'm back on the case and have finished the mechanics, just trying to complete the last of the bits and pieces. Would love to drive up to my dads house with her purring and beautiful! I have monitored all the regular sites, and either can't find, they are in poor shape, or are too expensive! (I'm already way over budget!) So, I'm hoping some fellow members may have some of these needed parts they are ready to "part" with at a reasonable p…

Guys one of my cylinders has a leak at the fitting because I had to drill out the old one and retap it. What are the real differences in early to later because the replacements are well over $100 where later units are much less. They look exactly the same.

I put the dust shield with the round hole on my 2.4 motor. It came off a ZX 5 spd with the 240mm flywheel. It lined up perfect. The one on the left is the one that came off the car but I chose the one with less opening to better keep dust/dirt out of the block. Did I make a mistake?

Hi, I have read through and followed the http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/distributor/index.html instructions numerous times for upgrading the distributor to a 280zx on a 240z and have not been able to get my tach to work at all. I have a 3 ohm coil, 280zx distributor and the car is an 11/70 240z (note that the majority of the instructions are for a 280z). I have spliced the blue/white and the green/white wires together from the harness. The thick black/white tach wire is to the postitive side of the coil and the black wire is to the negative. The black wire from the harness is to the distributor box and there is a new wire going from the positive end of the c…

I've found tons of info about adapting a FS5w71c into a 240z, but I can't find anything about using the 200SX / S12 version of the FS5w71b 5-speed in an S30 other than a little comment on this page: '83-10/'84 200sx w/CA20 and the truck # 3 use same ratios. This is often touted as the best gearsets for a 4-cylinder 510. Very low 1st gear for fast starting acceleration and smooth progression of jumps between ratios. For use with an L-series, a 280Z/ZX style bellhousing must be swapped onto the CA20 tranny case and bellhousing modified to match with larger diameter CA20 shifter rods, and use smaller OD 280zx jackshaft bearing. I'm interested in this transmission becaus…

I've found tons of info about adapting a FS5w71c into a 240z, but I can't find anything about using the 200SX / S12 version of the FS5w71b 5-speed in an S30 other than a little comment on this page: I'm interested in this transmission because of the ratios (3.592, 2.057, 1.361, 1.000, and 0.813) being so similar to the FS4w71b ratios that came with the car, and that 5th gear having longer legs for highway driving. It really seems like the optimal ratio spread. My question really is, presuming I were able to get my hands on one, how hard is it to do the work described above. I can't seem to find an example of anyone h…
