I'm about to install a ZX distributor in a '72 240Z and was reading that I need a ZX coil also. Is there one that's nicer to the old tachometer in my car or does it matter? Thanks for any replies, Cliff

Ok guys I currently have a l28 that's seized. I will rebuild the motor later on. So I purchased a good l24 with e88 head. My question is can I swap heads (n47) into the l24 so I do t have to buy xtra parts to make the car run.? Do I have to modify anything so this can work ?

I'm guessing I should run ZX plugs now that I've switched to a ZX distributor? Is this what everybody else runs that's done it? Thanks for any replies, Cliff

I've cleaned the inside of the distributor up good and lightly sanded the tips of the rotor and the magnets. Should I put dielectric grease on anything inside? I have a new button and cap. Thanks for any replies.

I'm taking apart a '82 ZX motor and transmission. When I separated the transmission from the block I didn't close pay attention I guess but when I flipped the block to get the pistons these brackets were there. My 280 or 240 doesn't have them. Are they for 2+2s only or do all ZXs have these? I'll try to use them if I can. Thanks for any replies.

I see a lot of individual parts posted to check on, but is there any parts from z31's that I can put on my 78 280z that would be recommended? I know a guy with a lot of z31 stuff and would like to do any swap outs that I can if it's better.

I am going to put electric fans in my 71Z. Is their 2 types of sensors? I was going to use a thermostat housing from a 280ZX. I see engine coolant temp. sensor and i see water temp. sender. Are they the same thing or do they have a separate function? I read the best place to put sensor is between radiator and thermostat. Didn't i read that someone put a sensor in the engine block. I'm going to use Nissan sensor. I have dual Spal fans with digital temp sensor. Upgraded wiring. Any help? Thank you very much, TimsZ

Does 280zx oe radiator fit my 240z without any installation problems? I heard the 280zx radiator is bigger and it will hit the hood underneath , Can someone help me find oe 240z looking radiator ? Anyone know the exact 240z radiator nissan part number?

I ordered a 1980 Brake MC from advanced. They sent me one that had no marking noting size like the old ones do. It looks a little bigger than the old one any easy way to tell if it is 15/16" . I crossed the part numbers with the 240z and it was different .

Could someone tell me the difference( different switches,etc.) between a 71 thermostat housing and a later 81ZX housing. I've looked, I really can't find any info. I see the 71 has 2 bolts to hold coolant outlet on. ZX has 3. Thank you very much.

I have the bigger ZX front calipers for my 71 240Z and the stock drums in the rear. Would it make much of a difference in what master cylinder I put on? I have the stock 7/8 and I also have a 15/16. Thank you, TimsZ
