It took us close to 2 years to develop this hose kit for Datsun 240Z 1969-1973 Air pump/Emission system. These hoses were discontined back in 80's and has been almost impossible to find new, since JDM models never had them on early Z cars in Japan. We manage to have our manufacture wrap the hose as original ones. Sold as set only at $299 for the hose set. only 100 sets are available, and we have no plans to make more at this point.

My clutch pedal goes down very easily to the floor, but comes back up still, and i can put the shifter into gear without having to depress the pedal, would having very little clutch fluid cause this? its below the minimum. I would go fill it up but i dont get to see the car everyday so im wondering if there is something else that I should look for if filling it up doesnt solve the problem next time i work on the car.its a 1976 280z if that helps. thank you

Okay, folks, in anticipation of this Texas rally I am sort of planning, I decided it would be wise to do some prep work on my old gal. One problem that has been annoying me is when I fill the car up say past half way, and I make a left turn, I get a strong raw fuel smell. This leads me to believe that my filler neck is leaking as when you turn left, fuel goes right naturally. Does this sound about right to everybody. Before I drop the tank, I may as well have a good idea what I am going to replace. And while I am there (there are those words that ALWAYS get me into trouble) I may as well fix anything else that requires some love. What things should I be looking for t…

I hesitate to even ask this question because I probably know the answer and will be razed for being cheap, but here goes. I recently obtained a slightly used euro balancer with the upgraded 35mm bolt and washer. I installed the balancer and noticed it has a very slight wobble to it. At 1200 RPMs it looks perfect but at 800 it appears to be a bit off. The engine feels smooth when driving. Here are my questions: 1. Could this be within the tolerance or should it appear to spin absolutely perfectly? 2. Will temporarily running this pulley cause imminent damage to the rotating assembly? The main reason I ask is I plan on taking the car to the drag strip an hour from my…

do we really need the rear engine bypass tube, rear water outlet, engine side water tube, hole on the water inlet tube, and the coolant passage way through the intake manifold for su carbs to the thermostat housing? This is with the heater hoses already out. I plan on deleting the hole shaaabammm. does anyone know the thread sizing for the above mentioned so i can go to my local home depot and by some brass fittings to plug those holes in?

Hi all, I just got my '78. I've been a bit concerned about the starter. It cranks the engine just fine, but it doesn't sound like any other starter I've had in any other car, including my old '75 Z. When the engine starts, and I turn the key back to IGN, disengaging the starter, the starter "groans" as it winds down. This lasts maybe a second, maybe less. I had hoped this noise would go away with a bit of use and general de-cobwebbing; however, it hasn't. My old '75 280Z's starter sounded like any other starter I've had, in that it didn't groan after I let go of the key. (Or at least I don't remember it having done that.) Is a groan normal as the starter winds down…

I've been having 5-spds rebuild since 2001 at the same shop and I bring them 4-6 a year along with a few diffs for bearing/seal replacement and stub axles to press out. Until recently the price has been under $500. but last month it jumped to nearly double that due to an increase in parts costs and the fact the shop was losing money on the discounted labor rate they had quoted me. The shop told me that the new rebuild kits come with some additional parts that wasn't included earlier (these they had been taking from spare/junk trannies) and they believe the rebuilds are better than before as a result. So my question is, what are other folks paying to have ZX 5-spds (non-t…

I'm building a new L 28 for the green 72. We're using an F 54 block and a P 79 head. We bought Nissan original new .040 over size pistons. We bored the block .040 over and .080 shaved heads (shimmed cam towers). SI stainless swirl valves and an Isky Stage III cam. New rockers , springs and retainers. We'll update as we build onward. I have a question about installing a new engine. THe info I have says to inject oil in to the engine via the pressure sensor port before turning over to prime the system. is there another way to do this? Background - got a 5 speed transmission and engine from a 77 280z. I have a 76 280z. figured since I had an extra engine i could rebuild that and still drive around. new engine has been completely rebuilt, used ARP bolts, block hot-tanked for a few days, bores honed, new bearings, valves ground and fit, the whole 9 yds. replacement parts such as electric cooling fan have finally been obtained and I'm prepping for the actual swap. see pic of engine if curious I did se…

Hey guys, need a bit of help. I have a 74 260z with an auto transmission. The tranny shifts great, but will not slip into 4th gear. It's literally as simple as that. No weird noises, no grinding. As far I can tell, 1-3 feels brand new. So my question is whether or not there is a typical problem and solution to fix this, or if the entire tranny is bad? If it is as simple as replacing a bearing or making an adjustment, I'll drop it myself and replace the part. If not, should I get a new tranny or take it in to a shop? One thing I suspect is that this car was dragged at some point because it has triple weber carbs, straight pipes, oil circulator, and direct tank-engi…
