Hey whats up guys Wanted to know where to find exhaust manifold bolts I found a set on eBay but the seller wasn't to reputable I would like to pick up a complete set I would really appreciate it If anyone could help out. thanks

I found a guy who sold his Z and wants to sell the triple Weber setup...cheap. So, after a couple of emails back and forth I find the triples aren't sidedrafts but 32/36 downdrafts! I couldn't find any info doing a search so I thought I'd ask the collective Z brain trust - is this setup decent or am I asking for trouble if I get these things and slap them on an L28? And by trouble I mean sync issues, poor drivability not to mention economy. Pics: My project if far from being complete so it's not like I'll be needing or using them tomorrow but if the price is right are they a good buy? Thanks, ~Q

I have a 73 240z with a 4spd tranny and a rear end out of a 73 240z which had an automatic tranny. I was wondering what kind of tranny fluid and rear end fluid you guys use and what weight to get. The fluids have not been changed in over 10 years while it sat. -thanks

Hey guys, You probly know of my last post "How does it Sound?" Well so far I have only replaced the fan clutch with another used fan clutch, sounds quieter! But you can hear the rest of the engine. Also, need to do some tuning, theres a nice POP at the end of the video which startled me a bit... haha Heres the video, let me know what you think.

I recently bought some round top SUs for my 260Z. I got them home and was having a browse through here and found out they are off a L4 motor. 2 holes to secure to the manifold and a angled float bowl. The people i got them off(along with a L6 manifold) said they were used on a Z and was running fine. These people are in now way dodgy etc They are still 1.5". So what im asking is will i find any downfalls if i use these insed of my old flat tops compared to Z round tops? Cheers!

I've noticed a bad vibration that basically shakes the whole car as I release the clutch in 1st and give it gas. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear end, but the whole car shakes and vibrates and it only happens in 1st gear from a stop. It feels like I'm driving over a series of road reflectors, then it goes away once the clutch is fully engaged. Any thoughts?

I was checking my timing on the camshaft and crank pulley at TDC. If the thrust plate mark and the camshaft sprocket mark on the back of sprocket are off a little (like 1/16th of an inch) would that make the car sputter or is it something different. Thanks in advance EDIT: also, some of my valves are a little too tight. What would this do to the engine?

I have replaced the fuel regulator, air flow meter, temp sensor and car is still burning up all 6 plugs. Car is currently at Nissan dealer and their don't have a clue. Any suggestion would greatly be appreciated. Ken

I'm having a little trouble with my engine rebuild. The block is an N42 and the head is an E31 with 2mm oversized intake and exhaust valves. I had the engine bored out 0.020" (.5mm) and installed new pistons and rings. The pistons are flat top. When I was installing the head it looked like the metal ring that goes around the piston bore on the headgasket may interfere with the valves. I have installed the head on the block at TDC. The cam timing mark was exactly where it should be and the bright links on the chain were in the correct position. So I got around to installing the Super turbo (manifold back) exhaust I bought from MSA yesterday. I decided to install it sans any pre muffler first, to see if I liked the sound/loudness before I screwed with the kit. I love the sound! I have never cared for Dynomax muffler's sound (on other cars), so i thought I’d be replacing the muffler almost immediately, but on the Z it really works well. It gives the car a nice throaty sound, dare I say almost classic Ferrari sounding. But the car seems to pop/backfire now on almost every shift (in the upper revs).
