Hello all, im tihnking about buying a cam kit from MSA. was plannin on getting the stage 3 cam with a power band from 3000-6500. anyone ever use this cam before? is it worth the money? hp increase? any input would be greatly appreciated. also any other reccomendations on cams would be great.

were there different brackets for the alternator for different years? I got a rebuilt unit that doesn't fit. The bracket is too wide. Got the unit from NAPA, because I didn't want to wait for shipping to & from VB/BD. thx

Well yesterday i was kinda showing off in my 75 280Z with a 4-speed in it. Now, it dosnt have much of a tranny left. I took off from a light at a good rate of speed and went to shift into second but it made a pop noise and didnt move anymore. There were cars behind me so i tried putting it in 1st and the same thing happen, it was just like neutral. As i rolled to the side of the road i put it in 3rd and it was fine. I drove about 3 miles in 3rd and 4th but then they went out too. how it sits, the stick will move into 1 and 2 but wont go into 3 or 4 and reverse works great. Now im looking for a tranny. what is the deal with putting a 5-speed in it? what tranny will interch…

Has anybody ever seen these markings on a Z camshaft before? I would like to know the grinder to contact about specs. It does not match the numbers of the main grinders like Crane or Isky etc. How does Nissan, Rebello and Sunbelt mark theirs? They do not respond to my emails. No time or interest I guess.

I bought this clutch setup a couple of years ago on Ebay. The seller called it a Centerforce, but did not say if it was a I or II series. The label, which I could not get to photograph, just says Centerforce. It was used, but as you can see not very used because there is still lettering on the friction disk. Anyway, I was planning on installing my engine and transmission back into the car yesterday when I noticed that the transmission isolator is torn, so as long as I am opening my wallet again I decided to search the forums to make sure that the rest of the parts here were ok... hey do we go by OEM settings or does it change with the new Dizzy! Mine is set at 20 BTDC and seems to run good? Also notice that the boys 73 with a electronic style dizzy is set at the same? Sorry mine is a modified 260 engine in a 77 with trip webers!

put the 2600 with trip web setup in the 77 280 today, ALMOST done, need some info. 1. using mallory unilite dizzy with a red, green and brown wire _ where to, Have the flip open little box that the original dizzy connected to (2 wire). 2. is the vaccumm bottle necessary, or can I go vacumm from the firewall tube straigt to maniford vacumm? 3.have some sort of crank case vent tube comming out of block below the manifolds, right now has some type of old "oil Breather " with nothing hooked to the output tube-- were to ? 3. what do I need to do to the vent tube out of the top of the valve cover? 4.what about the return gas line, not the supply, does it need to be hooked up an…

Havent recieved out FSM yet and need to tune up sons 73. Think were gonna drop this mallory dual point dizzy in that we have sitting around. What should the point gap be, Dwell, Timing and at what RPM, 4 speed Tranny! Oh and Plug gap for NGK's ! Thanks Guys!
