Hey guys, Please take a look at these pics. You can see that a small amount of fuel is leaking from my gas tank. It runs down the sides and gets all dirty and brown on it's way to my garage floor. I swear for the first month I had the car it didn't have this leak and I am sure I have driven way more than the last 2 PO's. It appears to be coming from that hose connection but I am not sure. Does this look familiar to anyone? If it is from that hose, how easy is that to fix? Thanks as always. You guys are the best and I know I ask alot of questions. I hope these threads benefit others with similar issues....

I have a 3-row radiator for sale. This radiator was bought brand new for a friends 240Z. It was in the car for less than 6 months. It's still bright and shiney. It does have a few bent fins, but nothing damaging. It is very clean on the inside and has line connections for an automatic car. If you need a replacement radiator for your 280Z or are looking to upgrade to better cooling for your 240 or 260, this is it. $75 + $45 shipping.

My block I have now had a head on it that had a crack in it that would let water seep into the cylinder and then down into the crankcase. Water and oil would mix, but the motor never officially seized. Before I realized it was the head and not the block, I had gone outside to start the Z up, and the motor would "stick", so to speak. The starter, which is new, would engage with the teeth on the flywheel but the motor would not turn over. You would hear a thud noise, and nothing else would happen. I would turn the key off, and then tap it back over, and after doing this a couple of times, the motor would start. I'm assuming the water in the oil was keeping the motor f…

I'm thinking about installing an oxygen sensor on my exhaust. Edelbrock has a kit that has everything from the display guage, O2 sensor and the bung that needs to be welded to the exhaust. I want to do this so I can monitor my air/fuel ratio at different RPM's. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts about this? I currently have the MSA 6-1 jet hot coated headers and a custom 2 1/2 exhaust. Thanks Ed

I just found out that you can order headers through Jet Hot coatings, with the coating already applied. The 240Z header is made by Hooker. I am putting an '82 ZX L28 into my 240Z, which they list as being made by Pacesetter. Has anybody out there used a Pacetter? Are the any good? Fitting issues? TIA, Marty

The original rear muffler for a 72 is a cylinder type unit with chrome tip. They don't seem to be available anymore from Motorsport. Anybody knows about another source for the exact same part?

i'm going to be reringing my motor here shortly...and i need some help trying to figure out what rings i need to buy. they are p79 pistons in an l28 block...assuming they aren't overbored, but i haven't checked. but i'm assuming with the stock p79 pistons they should be a standard bore. i was looking in the VicBrit catalog and they list two different ring sets for the l28, should i opt for the earlier one or later? i'm trying to get all this right on the first shot, so i'm just trying to get all the info together, any help anyone could give me would be great. thanks steve

Had my engine rebuilt 7 years ago and asked that it be balanced but not blueprinted if for no other reason than I didn't know what it meant and didnt want to pay for it. (Balancing sounded important, blueprinting sounded like a luxury) What exactly is involved and what are the benefits to be gained for future reference?

I own a 1976 2+2 with an automatic transmission. The motor is a little tired so I bought a running motor from an aquaintance at work to use as a transplant. He pulled the motor because he is installing a turbo motor from a ZX. The motor I bought has been in his car with a 4 speed. It has a stage 2 cam in it. My question is: Will the motor work with the automatic transmission, or will the cam cause the motor to not idle well? If I was driving the car I would be less concerned, but the car is my daughter's and I really don't want her having to drop the car into neutral every time she stops. Thanks, Gary

Hi all .. My oil pressure shows low on the guage. I dont think the oil pressure is actualy low. The oil level is fine. I have replaced the sending unit and (70$ latter) it made no difference. Should I put in thicker oil and see if that makes a difference. Is there a oil pressure tester I could try to see what the pressure actualy is? I know these motore have a very good oil pump. I dont really know the milege of this motor as the speedo has been changed. It does not burn oil and runs very well. It pulls hard up hills and sounds great .. no lifter noise even. Any help or comment would be great Thanks and Cheers Bruce Ü
