Here it is, 2.5 in inlet/outlet Summit Glasspack muffler... measureing in at 24 inches in length, polished steel. With a free flow internal design, this provides the kick for the money. This will be installed on my custom 2.5 inch exaust system I will have made for my 280Z just after I have her bodywork done.... A little high temp paint and I should be ready to go.

Hi All: New member love the site. I'm currently rebuilding my l24. The bottom end is to remain the same, only bored if need be. I will not be changing to an L28. Now to the head: it is an e31 which I will be keeping, the car is to be used as an every day driver but as always am looking for as much performance without sacrificing to much. I plan to change out the cam, and am wondering if I should increase the valve size to the 280z valve size. Will I have to grind the block some to occomadate the larger valve size. Any suggestions on what cam to use. Will this combination work well and what will my compression ratio be. Also I need new head bolts where can I get them. Sorr…

I need help! I have a 73 240, new to me. I took it in to get it inspected (new jersey) with the old flattop carbs, and it failed emissions. HC high and CO high. No problem, I had planned to swap the carbs for early round-tops, which I did (new 3-screws from ztherapy). Not sure I got the mixture right, but it seemed to run okay, idle at about 800-850. Failed again, CO within spec (.57%, but HC thru the roof, almost six times the earlier readout, ten plus times allowable spec. If the only change was the carbs, what happened? I adjusted the mixture screw richer and richer, and never got a condition where lifting the piston caused no change in rpms; it always made the rpms …

There is a guy that is selling me a cylinder head. He has a E88 and he wants 100 bux for it. It has everything, but the cam is really fubar'd (rust). I have a 78' fuel injected N42 L28 engine. Would this be a good cylinder head? Im looking at porting, and polishing it, and getting a mild cam. BTW, my car has dished pistons. Thanks a bunch He also has a N42 for 150. What do you reccomend? I just won this engine on ebay. I was getting ready to rebuild my engine until I found this and the guy selling it was just around the corner from me. I went by to check it out. THe story is that this engine came out of a totaled 79 ZX Non-turbo in 1980 with only 1900 miles where it has been in storage ever since. If the external condition is any indicator, this engine is in absolutly mint condition. Every hose, bolt, paint all the yelow cadium is in absolutley mint condition. My question is what should I consider before I try to start the engine and how will this transplant into a 76z? I know that the head uses the crappy round port exhausts but what might be some…

Hi, I am sort of new to this forum but a couple of weeks ago I came across some nice heads that were produced in the past but were very rare. The pictures are located on this page http://www.datrats.com.au/PICTURES.html . They are for the L28 and turns your use to be SOHC to a new monster DOHC. I have E-mailed Enonvativ Force, an official Os Giken distributor in the states concerning, getting these heads reproduced. Here's there E-mail address Info@EnonvativForce.com. I found them on accident and checked them out. They are Dellorto's and that looks like a cannon manifold. What is the best triple setup for the money for my 240 with a soon to be 2.8 (not sure what head to use) 6-into-1 header w/ 2.5'' pipe. stage 2 cam. and should I use an electric fuel pump? forgot to tell ya, they are at $600.00 at the moment

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find volumetric efficiency figures for the L28? I tried searching on the net and found the figure 70%, but I'm not sure how accurate this value is. I also searched the forums but found no specific specs. Does anyone know where I can get the figures from? Thanks in advance. Marc.
