Looking for info on the 260 air cleaners. Restoring the one we have, plan on upgrading from the flat tops to round tops and keep the original air cleaner, going to use Ztherapy's adapters with TWM Induction air horns. I have a problem with my 72 240z. Say the car is in third gear on a very slight grade upward, the rpms are slightly below 2500 or at 2500 and gas is given; the car chokes itself. There is a lurch like the engine is lacking fuel. Is this the carbs? A problem with compression? not really sure. My dad thinks its the carbs. Could be. thanks

I just bought a 78 280Z that ran perfectly fine while test driving it. It needs some brakes and wheel bearings though so I have had it sitting in the driveway for about a month now while I buy all the parts. I just finished putting on the new brakes and went to take it out for a test drive and when I started it up I filled the whole street with white smoke. It seemed to let up a bit after I drove off. As I was driving it was hardly there any more. I used to have an 83 Z years ago but I don't really know very much about these cars. What should I have checked out? When I start my 72 240Z, it takes quite awhile for the engine to warm up. It hesitates real bad and actually pops after it starts to speed up. What could the problem be? Put some carb cleaner in the gas tank and some water treatment. Any other ideas?

any suggestions on header and full exhaust systems for a 73 240z. I saw some at Motor sport Auto. What is the difference between a 6-2 verses a 6-1 headers. And what size pipe should I get? 2.5 inch? Any special coating? Zover

I need to find a balancer for my Z and I can't find one anywhere in Oz. It is going to cost me $180 to send my old one away and have the rubber insert replaced. Is this my only option??? Thanks Luke

just got a 75 280z. it has been sitting for a few years. but it has been started etc to keep it not seized. the car seems to have nice power..it idles perfectly at 800rpms, but during a certain point when driving it will hit a wall and you have to floor it to get passed the hurdle then it drives fine. any ideas? seems like also it hits at a certain rpm i think its in the 3k band. any feedback? thanks ~B

I've been polishing my valve cover for the past few days. And I've noticed that the inside of the cover has a "sealant" around the baffle plate. This "sealant" is also around the vent tube on the outside of the cover. (I'll take pictures if anyone doesn't have a clue as to what I'm talking about.) This "sealant" is cracking and falling off. Does anyone know of any alternative for this or has replaced this with an alternative material that works?

Just got a new cam (regrind on my original) 269/269 473, should I get new rocker arms or have mine reground by Delta Cams? Some people say get new OEM, whiule others say go with the regrounds. With a 473 lift, shouldn't I get new performance springs since new stock springs, I think, are only good to a 460 lift? Of course I have to get new lash pads, I think I will need 170 or 180. Thanks Keith.
