Is there an electric fuel pump in a 73 besides the mechanical one? I think chiltons says there isn't but I've seen posts saying there is. My car seemed like it was getting fuel but then it would die and be hard to start. I wonder if that was part of the problem( I changed the fuel filter up front). The car had old gass in it that I drained. I would look at it but it is in the shop getting a tranny swap. Thanks again for any help you can give! Mark

Hi, Does anyone know if there's a difference between a NA and a Turbo Intake Manifold on the L28 engine? Which one is better suited for Turbo application (I assume turbo intake for turbo car but...). I think the NA manifold has an extra cold start injector. What does it do? BTW, know what "WOT" stands for? Oh and also, how much should I expect to pay for an intake manifold, NA or Turbo, in a good to decent shape? Thanks, -Guycali

I'm sure you folks have been over this more than once, but since i'm new to this forum I'll ask again. I've read on many a sight they stock H.P. ratings for the Z cars. I'm mostly concerned with the 1970-1978 models as that's what i may end up buying. I want POWER as much stock as i can get. I know weight ratio plays a factor as well. Anyway I got my used Chilton's manual in the mail today and notice the posted H.P. ratings for the engines being as follows. 1970-73 151@5600 RPM 1974 162@5600 RPM 1975-78 170@5600 RPM The 1970-73 H.P. rating looks right, but the 2 others look wrong. I've seen elsewhere the 260z having 139 and the 280z having 149. Although …

I noticed that one member in the photo galleries section had an RB25DE motor. A couple of questions come to mind: 1) Is this the Skyline GTR Motor? 2) Does this use the same block as the L6 (i.e. is this a direct bolt in for a 240Z)? If that is the Skyline motor, from what I read it has many many ponies.

Fellow Z riders, I have a problem with my 1983 ZX. When I'm cruising around 3000 rpms the engine studders like it's not getting enough fuel. When I increase gas I don't feel it anymore. If I drive the car very aggressively the problem seems tranparent but in stop in go traffic or city driving I have this problem. Help, I've changed all 6 fuel injectors, fuel filter, air regulator, and tuned up car (plugs, rotor, cap). I was told it may be fuel air mixture causing problem. Does anyone have or had this same problem and what did you do to fix it, other than that the car runs great

When you take out the EFI what exactly do you remove and how do you install carbs? I mean do you simply pull all the computer crap out of the car, pull of the injector fuel rail, and the intake manifold, replace it with a manifold from a Carbed Z car, and add some carbs? if anyone has a web site explaing how i would appreciate it.. Or is it in the "How To Modify...." book? Matt
