Hi Everyone, I have a 1977 280Z....just purchased new door lock cylinders and can't find the plastic clips for the 77-78 only. Its a small squarish looking thing. I have one in one door but have been searching to find another for the other door. If any ideas are out there let me know. Thanks Matt

Needs some help here. Removed the door panels prepping the car to go to paint and body shop. Trying to remove the black adhesive on the door where the plastic moisture barrier was installed. I’ve tried acetone, paint thinner and WD40. The WD40 is the only chemical that works at all but not very well. Basically turns into a slurry mess. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a gas powered pressure washer and it's great, but it's loud. I like to wash the cars early in the morning on weekends but my neighbors aren't too happy about it, so I started looking around for an electric PW. Man there's a lot of junky units out there, most of the consumer grade PW's have axial pumps and the build quality looks like they won't make it through the summer. I rarely endorse tools, but in this case, I feel I have to share one I recently found and used that I am very glad to have found. U-joint replacement, especially the half shafts have always been a test of wills for me. Yes I can do them, no it's never pleasant. Find the right sockets to beat on, fight with supporting them while you beat on them, discovering the sockets you used are now bent and don't snap on the ratchet handle anymore. Dirty ugly fight. Hate it. No more. Behold the "Tiger Tool 10105" U-Joint service tool.

Nissalco from what I gather is Nissan Altia, I presume a company within Nissan.. Anyway, I brough a sounder meter off Yahoo auctions, and having a look now, it looks Nissalco did/do a range of garage items. This maybe not news to some, but it is to me. The sounder meter is new, and looks very 1960's early 1970s, just a cool item! Currently on Yahoo for reference, is more modern kit like a 3 ton jack (pictured) as well as bigger garage kit, wheel balancer and wheel/tyre put on thingy.

Hey guys, It has been my dream for many years to move to a spot where I could build my dream garage. Well, this year my dream was realized. We moved to a new house and I did not even need to build the garage. It came with a 36'x64' Pole Barn!! The barn is a great space. It really is a blank canvas at this point though. I have the shell, but I need to finish the interior. The previous owner got a start on the wiring and putting up some insulation and walls. Back in the summer there was a thread about a German product, a paste made of Citric acid and sawdust. I can't find it at the moment but I have been playing around with Citric acid for a couple months now and it has become my go to rust remover. I have found all the other acid rust removers have some drawbacks to them but Citric has the fewest so far. It is very inexpensive especially the industrial grade, I didn't want to purchase 50lbs until I knew it was worth it so bought 10lbs of food grade. 2 cups of dried powder in about a gallon of water makes a strong solution. Your results may vary depending on the hardness of your water but it should be easy to repeat…

I have bought Milton HiFlo hose air chucks for years. I've been really disappointed in them in recent years. Them seem to start leaking pretty quickly as of late. What is everybody else using? Anyone else's experience?

My trusty compressor developed a problem with its pressure switch. The contact started sticking and the compressor kept running even when the tank pressure exceeded the cut off pressure. I've had it for about 27 years, and used it a fair amount given I am just a hobbyist. I am too lazy to get a picture of it, but it is this same model - though I think it was branded under Campbell Hausfeld: So the switch - I went online looking for replacements. The original switch had the model "DAC-278-1" with number 140 and 175 which apparently indicate the turn off psi and turn off psi. I had never seen one, did you? Original or a creation of a handyman? Complete car i think.. over 25 years the same owner and ... not running. Original color was dark red? (what i see in the engineroom..) These Laurel's are not my cup of tea but this is a rare example i think?
