Does anyone know anything about full padded dash replacements from ACCU-Form? I looked up the website and see plenty of dash cap items, but I'm looking at a full replacement dash, pad and all, that attaches directly to the metal dash frame. Any experience out there? I searched a little bit here and just find discussions about dash caps.

I have decided to make my own vapor/ hydro blasting cabinet. I have a bunch of Datsun parts (mikuni carbs, intakes, ac, head etc..) that I want cleaned up and shiny. I really really like the look of hydro blasted or vapor blasted aluminum parts. So I live in a tiny town, that's about 1.5-2 hours from a major city, but even that city doesn't have anyone that hydro/ vapor blasts so I am either shipping parts (expensive, and chances for damage) so it's time to make one. The basics of vapor blasting is a glass slurry mix (ratio unknown as of yet) of water and 170-325 Glass Bead (tiny beads) pumped in circulation through a gun that has compressed air attached to push the s…

I saw a video for a deburring tool that looks interesting. Any of you tried one of these? (by the way, they are not a sponsor or affiliate but I think they should be if the tool is good!)

So I had an old Schumacher battery charger. It was in a black metal case, switches, analog meter. Probably 25 years old. It always worked great. Then the automatic shut off quit working. So it would overcharge batteries if you didn't babysit it. So I bought a new Schumacher. It had some nice features like desulfating and such but at 13 months its completely dead. 1 month out of warranty!! So I have been shopping for a good charger. I deal with a lot of flat batteries. I would prefer 6v and 12v charging, man & auto and a booster setting. I am willing to invest in a quality charger but I expect it to last a long time! Any suggestions??

Well it took two days, about 8 hours of work, and a lot of sweat (it’s actually a heat wave here right now, +23C yesterday) but I did it. Boy is my right arm sore. I got this thing started. Was last running in 1981. Yup

I've finally bought a HF 40 blast cabinet and come to the realization that my existing compressor won't cut it (craftsman 15 gal, 3.5 cfm @90psi ) . I'm not getting enough suction to pull the media from the bottom of the cabinet. THe blast cabinet recommends 9.5 cfm @ 90 psi. I see most 9.5 cfm compressors getting to the $1k + price. I was really hoping to spend less than $500, but the best I can get from that price point is about 5-5.5cfm. Will I get enough pressure/volume from a 5.3 cfm to do basic parts blasting? Advise is always appreciated! thanks, Bill

Hi all! Want to get a new hand grease gun (non air) and even though they're relatively cheap, I'd rather spend a bit more for a better gun. Unfortunately, I see dozens of them in the $75 or less range(most less than $50). Since I'll prob buy online, I can't feel the quality thru the screen ? Any recommendations? I'd also like to get a grease coupler. thanks for the help! Bill
