Zcon 2019 Write it down, go ahead and schedule that vacation!

Okay, who's going besides me? Already registered!

Here's the latest update: All - ZCON 2018 host hotel will be at the Sonesta. In order to book your hotel, you may use the following link and Group Code. They promised to simplify the code after the new year, but this one works so you can get your hotel now. The event is October 16-20 in Atlanta, GA - the website is www.ZCON.org. Event registration will go live 1/1/18. Get booked now within the room block for $105/night with free parking and free wifi included. We're less than a week away from the start of ZCON 2018. Registration for the week will close on Friday, 10/12, at midnight Eastern Time. If you are only planning to go on Saturday for the People's Choice/ZNationals show, online registration will remain open for a couple of more days after that. Please note that while you can still pay at the gate for People's Choice/ZNationals, lunch is an additional charge above admission. The word is out. ZCON 2018 will be in Atlanta! Some of what we are planning: 1. It will be in October, so we don't have to worry about melting. 2. Track day at Road Atlanta 3. Autocross and possibly karting at Lanier Raceplex (right across the street from Road Atlanta) 4. Mountain cruises - Enjoy the wonderful curves in the North Georgia Mountains.

Early Bird Registration for ZCON 2018 ends at midnight on June 8. Register now before prices go up and to make sure you get in on the events you want to experience. The convention dates are October 16-20. Some of the things we are planning: ZCCA Judged Car Show Brewery Night at Sweetwater Brewery. Yes, you will be able to sample their products. Autocross at Atlanta Motorsports Park Go Karts at Atlanta Motorsports Park (Imagine a karting track with elevation changes of over 40 feet and speeds around 55 MPH.) Well, it's just about 3 weeks until opening ceremonies for ZCON 2018. Who is in? By the way, the typical high temperatures for mid October are in the low to mid 70s. Lows are typically in the mid 50s to upper 40s. It will be great driving weather for those of us bringing S30s.

Avoiding the summer heat (hopefully)! Note there is no host club shown - looks like this will be on ZCCA to organize, as they did for Memphis 2015.

Probably not the best kept secret but today I spotted a Facebook post on the Middle Tennessee Z Club page. A member was answering a question about Z ATTACK occurring in 2019, this was the answer: "Z ATTACKS were staged at Nissan HQ in Franklin in 2012, 2014 and 2017. We're skipping 2019 so we can help with ZCON in 2020, which will be the 50th anniversary of the Z and will be at Nissan." You heard it here first!

You guys tell us about your adventures this time around. Unfortunately after 3 ZCONs in a row, I need a break for other things this year. Would have been cool to see the actual Z after last years "cardboard" reveal.

Mike W from this sight was kind enough to remind me that this year Austin is hosting ZCON. I have never been but since this is a mere 3 hour drive as the Z flies, I am darn sure going. I would like to find out who from Houston area is going and maybe we can meet up for some much needed car talk and time away from regular life.
