It's a 1978 280Z with a ZXT engine. I had purchased it on April of 2003, but I find myself with little time to fix it. It has a 1983 turbo transmission and rear end. All from my '71 240. Parts are located in Hillsboro, OR (just west of Portland) I don't want to mess with shipping any of this stuff. I may be willing to meet someone within 50 miles of Portland. Hi all Just started rebuilding the original engine from my 240z. I'm trying to get some assistance re removing the front pulley. I ve managed to get the large bolt undone by blocking the crank with a piece of wood inside the crank case and using a 2 foot extension on my socket handle, but I'm not sure how to get the pulley off. The haynes manual says something about not using a normal 2/3 leg puller on the pulley and shows a picture of some special tool that bolts up to 2 bolt holes on the front face of the pulley. I have a Zcar in San Jose Ca, that I would like to sell. I really like my car but I need to sell it so that I can go to school. It still needs some work but I think that it is a very good canidate for restoration. I have done alot of minor work to it myself and a few of the larger projects that I've tackled were, instaling some 72' carbs, some new seats, I had a hatch painted and installed, I put a new clutch in, I installed a new manifold gasket and completly replaced the rear brakes.
