I’m looking for photographs (and a part number) for the fog light switch and trim bezel that mount on the center console in 1973 240Zs. It replaces the Z trim plate that is welded to the plastic just in front of the ash tray and to the right of the choke lever. I’ve never seen a picture of one of these, but I know that’s where it goes because it is referenced in the description of the trim plate on the Motorsport site. There are also provisions for screws to attach a switch and a hole in the console where the switch would pass through. Sorry for the blur. I don’t know if the trim plate that’s welded to the console would have been cut to ma…

Is this original to early Z's - 1970-71, or only later years? To install it, you slip it under the center console, and run the forward most of the three back screws through the hole. The straps hang down on each side of the transmission tunnel. And you slip the inner most seat belts through the loops. In theory, it keeps the seat belt from falling down to the floor in between the seat and the tunnel.

Has anyone ever sourced a reasonable facsimile of the chrome trim ring on the early Z bakelite ashtray? I remember finding something in one of my hardware buckets years ago, and it worked quite well as it was a slight ellipse not perfectly round. Alas I don't know what it was sourced from. Checking for a friend...

I see Resurrected Classics has a 70-72 Steering Column Cover Set. Does anyone have any comments on fit and finish? How is the 73 different? Thanks

hello,I am looking to see what the forum folks here have been using as far as seat covers. I did recover my seats about 25 years ago and they still look great. but when I enter on the driver side the seat gets scratched from getting in. I did use MSA covers back then, and I would like to install new foam and better seat covers, any suggestions? thanks

Hi, I am trying to work out how many types of 240z steering columns covers are there or the LHD and RHD cars and what they respective part numbers are? Can anyone shed some light on it?

I am trying to determine what hardware was originally used at each anchor point for the seat belts in my 6/71 car. I think the lap bolts just used a bolt, a serrated washer, and a paper washer as shown in these two pictures: I happen to have a couple of sets of "early" seat belts (one set is 10/70), and this hardware was at the shoulder belt anchor. From left to right, longer than usual bolt, thin (relatively) plastic washer with raised shoulder, thick (relative to the thin one) plastic washer with raised shoulder, black metal washer, black metal washer, red paper washer. This hardware seems to match perfectly the parts schematic: …

I'm going to re-foam (and as a result re-cover) my seats and am looking for a duplicate of what is already on there which the PO installed but I can't seem to find them. I contacted thezstore and this color combination isn't something they've ever sold. Does anyone know where I can find a new duplicate of these?:

I'm working on the glove box lid, had to repair the hinge, repaint the hardware, etc. So like a dope I left some cleaner on the lid too long and it discolored it 😞 I knew better but got distracted with something, lost track of time, and came back to a faded grey for the color of the outside lid. At this point I was open to trying to paint it and since I have a bunch of the SEM stuff for the panels I'll be doing next month I figured I'd give it a try. Then I had another idea. I recently restored the radiator and used this to paint it when done. It came out beautiful BTW I had also used it for the inner door sil kickplates and those came out great too …

I am starting to rebuild the seats for my 6/71 240Z. I have this seat re-strap kit from Motorsport Auto, but I don't have any idea how much tension to put on the straps when I attach them to the bottom frame. The strapping material is rubberized, so it can be stretched. I am wondering if anyone has done a seat rebuild using this strap material and has any guidance? Once I determine the amount of stretch to apply, I will be marking the non-stretched length and the stretched length on a template for cutting so I can stretch them equal amounts.

I've had a seek scan AM and nos pointy tip on the shelf for two years and finally got around to installing them as i get closer to road ready. I tested it yesterday and it all works perfectly to my pleasant surprise. Antenna up down no issues, seek scan even locks in on the 4 crap AM stations in my area, the lights and led on the tuner works. i'll be honest i was expecting much less but man I'm stoked its all working. Of course the sound is crap with a single speaker back there but the speaker is new and doing as best it can. now I'm getting greedy and want to expand my music selections lol. Anyone try anything like this before? https://www.ebay.com/itm/134…

Got a message the other day of someone selling some black leather 350z seats and I couldn't say no. Well I could of, but the price was great. Being they had red stitching kind of sealed the deal- lol. they are power heated seats so I will have wiring to do plus some fab work. Looking forward to having some more flexibility and comfort in my ride. I guess there will be some 1st gen seats on the market soon! well I would have posted a pic but the upload keeps failing
