I have an early 1974 260, with a missing hinge cover. I found this item in the Motorsport catalog, but it says only fits 72 and 73. They look very much like the one cover I now have. I emailed the vendor, and they replied the part numbers are different, so it may not fit. Does have any experience on this?

I'm looking to replace the choke light label on my console. Does anyone reproduce it? I found this old thread, but solution seemed to be to peel it off and whiten the engraved pictogram that's supposedly underneath it. Thanks

modeled up some brackets based off the originals , I adjusted to match 5.25 speakers. My brother was able to print them fine , passenger and drivers. Models attached below, note the model units was set incorrectly so they need to be scaled from 100% to 2540% to adjust mm to inches. Bracket.7z

After finally getting my car on the road and logging about 100 miles this week, I’m considering going a different direction with my steering wheel. I don’t really want to go aftermarket but I can be convinced otherwise. Right now I have a nicely restored 240z “wood” composite steering wheel. It looks awesome. Here is what I don’t like. The grip diameter is small and a bit slippery. I know this was how they’re supposed fo be. I think 14” would be better, and I like leather feel. I also think it’s a little too big in overall diameter at 15”. So doing my research I see a few options and keep in mind that I don’t have the skills or fancy tools like Captain Obvious…

Does anyone know what fastener is used to hold the rear view mirror bracket on a 1973 240z? Size and pitch would be great if you know it. If not does anyone know if they are the same bolts as the sun visors. Thanks in advance for your help

For whatever reason, I find myself with only one seat belt buckle for my '71 Series 2. Been getting along with an old 3" racing belt on the driver side, but I'm now trying to get the car back to original. Photo attached. If anyone has the buckle or the whole belt (I have a contact qualified to make a replacement belt) I'd be happy to pay. I've placed an ad on the Parts Wanted page, but no responses yet.

Seems the interior nuts, bolts, screws on the Z cars are unique. Has anyone ever created a list of all the interior screws, size, thread type, etc., for a 240Z? Specifically around the dash and heater panel. I spent several hours chasing down several threads but no luck. Thanks.

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the seats in my 73 240z. I'm using new foam from MSA. Upon disassembly of the seat back I noticed a layer of brown straw like material about an inch thick that was between the foam and the seat upholstery. Any idea why this is there, and should I reuse it? It smells kind of musty so I don't want to use it if I don't have to. If I do need it, is there some other material available I can use or should I just leave it out all together. Thanks, Paul (z3beemer)

I have a hodge-podge of seat belts. I'm trying to restore 240Z HLS30 28736 to as original as possible. Aside from some after-market stuff I have one complete Z car female-side buckle - photo attached - but need one more. Can anyone tell me if this is correct for my car. I posed a want ad and one fellow offered my a set which I believe is later series, having plastic reinforcement of one side. Many thanks, Richard McDonel

Anybody know where this goes and how it mounts? I'm thinking in the console maybe?
